The other good thing about Talbots petite jeans is that many also come in curvy sizes to avoid that annoying waist gap many of us get. I’m also a big fan of NYDJ’s petite jeans. I buy them on line. I’m 5’ 3”
Hi Michelle! Just tried on the Talbot’s slim straight ankle jean. I love them! I’m 5’1” and they’re the perfect length. I purchased the Bettina wash which I love. It’s darker and it’s more elevated. I also purchased the NYDJ “waist match” jeans. They’re very soft and buttery. But soooo long. I’d def need to them altered if I kept these. Just an fyi. For reference I’m 5’1” and 115 lbs. I’m smack dab in between a size 2 and a 4 in the Talbot’s brand. Thanks Michelle!! I have some great new jeans for the holiday season. ❤❤❤❤
Talbots slim ankle jeans are my favorites. I have several pairs in different washes. I am also 5’0” tall, but I wear a 12p in these jeans. (The high rise that is so popular these days just doesn’t work for me.)
Hi Michelle, I bought the Wit and Wisdom jeans from your recommended post, on sale at Nordstrom. I’ve heard good things, but hadn’t purchased until now, and I’m so glad I did! They are so comfortable and look really good on me! Thank you! Sizing down was spot on! 😊
I would have appreciated you telling us if each Jean was low, mid, or high rise waist. As a senior on a fixed income most were not in my budget but I enjoyed your reviews
@sharonlombard4638 critical for me. I think high-rise makes short people look taller.. doesn't chop your legs off like lower rise. Also I think boot cut elongate legs
I'm petite as well and super surprised you don't have AG Farrah jeans on here! The best I ever bought. Feels like sweats all day! give them a shot you won't be disappointed. Also for more affordable jeans one can't go wrong with old navy or even Walmart.
Recently discovered your fantastic videos You have such great information, and I love you include your height. Would you also consider including your inseam and the inseam of the pants you present? My 4’11”, 24” inseam self would appreciate that information.
I love a preppy classic style. That’s why I can’t do jeans with a raw hem, lol. Def love the Madewell and Talbots. ❤❤ Thanks again for a great review. And for introducing new brands to me.
Update! Hi Michelle. I’m on the fence now about the Talbot’s jeans. Here’s why: 1. The length is perfect! 2. The wash is perfect 3. The hem isn’t raw (thank gosh) But I have very thin calves and thighs. And Talbot’s jean’s legs are kind of “blocky”. There’s a large gap under my bum at the top of my thighs and the calves are baggy. Also, the waist is uncomfortably tight. But the next size up was too loose. I will keep them. But if any of your viewers have thin calves and thighs then I recommend this: J. crew 9” Vintage Slim Straight jeans (“stovepipe”) Unfortunately they have a raw hem that I needed to pay to have altered. But they’re more form fitting w/o being too tight. I know that we all have different body shapes.
Michelle I liked your video as I am always looking for good fitting petite jeans. I am also 5'0 but I am wondering what your other stats are. In other words to better understand how these jeans are fitting, can you let us know what your inseam is and what your rise is. I find the rise is often hard to fit for a petite because they are made too long in this area. Thanks and keep up the great information for us petite ladies.
Not many ladies are as small as you are. I use to be close to your size but am much older now and my body has changed. I have chronic back pain so cannot exercise and walk. I also got a tummy that I did not have. I have to wear Spanx when leaving the house for back support. I am 4 feet 11 inches so what would be the best length number. I want to be my cute little figure again but every thing happens with age. I really need jeans. I like pull up. Will check out the video. I always was 105 forever but after back surgery I went up to 117.
@@poisedpetite I can see paying $100 for a nice pair of jeans to go out and about in. Above that seems excessive for jeans IMO. I'm really trying to get away from fast fashion and buy less/better quality. But Walmart sells very nice every day jeans with petite sizing (in store for better selection) for $30.
I love videos showing clothes modeled by someone my height and over 50, and I look forward to yours. However, when it comes to flattering jeans and pants, I think that body type is more important than height. I've tried ordering jeans/pants that look great on you but truly awful on my pear-shaped body (e.g., big in the waist with extra fabric bulging out in the crotch). BTW, I don't want to be intrusive, but I'd be very interested in your observations about similarities and differences in fashion/style in Louisiana vs Colorado.
I’m sorry you haven’t had luck with the Jean styles I’ve shared. I agree body type has so much to do with it. I’m noticing styles in Colorado are casual and cute. Not a lot of dressy…
@ thank you for your response. Issue with my skin is that I had a beard transplant done and it had left me with cobblestone texture where the hair grafts are. I m depressed to see that all the time. I have tried lasers , peels and few other treatments. I was considering Ellacor so that with the skin cores pulled out of skin it can also pull cores with grafted hair and may b help reduce the cobblestone texture. I m super confused if I should try this. Does those cores also pull out hair with its roots.

Yes, I also love NYDJ!
I love all of my Wit and Wisdom jeans, they are so comfortable.
Me too🥰
I just ordered the Wit and Wisdom ankle jeans. I have the Wit and Wisdom flare leg already and I love them! Thanks for this video, it was so helpful.
So glad! Let me know how you like the new pair💕

I also wanted to add that I’m glad that the Talbot’s jeans don’t have a “raw” hem. I think that those look sloppy and not elegant.
So glad they worked for you! That’s a bummer about having to hem the NYDJ, but I understand…I have to do that a lot too.
Great video, thank you.
I just ordered the itty bitty jeans. I ordered a size down. Can’t wait to see how they fit.
I think you’ll love them! Let me know…
Beautiful outfits
Thank you! 🤗

I prefer a midrise when available.

I’m so glad!! They are a great jean!
Thank you so much for this!! ❤❤❤❤Just ordered from Talbots and Madewell. (I’ve heard good things about NYDJ too. Just ordered from them as well).
I’m so glad it was helpful! Yes, NYDJ is another good one.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.
That is problem with talbotts for me. Their high is lower than other brands

I do have them and totally forgot to include them🤦♀️. You’re right, they are SO good!

Thanks for sharing!! Madewell also has a great one similar to that JCrew style.
@ yes! I have the Madewell too.
I should really try the Wit and Wisdom as well.

Hi Trisha! I’m thinking a 25 in inseam might work for you.
Where did you get the black leather /faux leather jacket?
I got it at Spanx, here is the link rstyle.me/+SppJOaGVuasxc8soop0AZA
Very nice, however there are many of us who do not have the funds for these jeans.
Thanks for your feedback. I thought I had a well rounded price range represented. What do you think is a good price for jeans?

How did you heal after ellacor procedure. Would you recommend that procedure?
Hi! I healed fairly quickly. I would not recommend it. For me, the results were not worth the trauma of the procedure.

I wear both mid rise & high rise. I have never tried those brands, but I need to…I’ve heard great things about both.
I am 5’1 69 years old.
Talbotts never has sizes 0 in my store to try on plus their black jeans fade quickly. Quality problems lately.
I do need to order size 0 online.
Prefer a crap pants the length is just enough
$258 for a pair of jeans is not happening.
That’s why I made sure to have a variety of prices in the mix.
