Just a note, if you gonna use this is in a field, don't bother with the Westcott battery pack. Use a D-tap cable with a V-mouth or gold mount battery instead. It will last much, much longer.
The Aputure is indeed more powerful, however it's not the same tool at all. The Solix is quite unique and it's made for the on-location portrait shooter who wants a very soft source of light that's extremely easy to set-up and dial. With the integrated speed-ring which allow to turn different modifiers around. This is probably the best continuous light for photography on the market if you shoot wide-open (f2.8 and below) as well. The Aputure is a fresnel, and that made it a completely different light. It's made to be shaped, zoomed in and out, etc The Solix is a very specific tool with a very specific function : to be the easiest to set-up continuous soft light source on the market. Judging from price to power, the Aputure is best; judging from price to design, if the Solix fits your need, it's an excellent light.
Thanks for the info. Helpful
Nice video Dale. Aye Anthony....

For a little more money it seems the Aputure 120d is more powerful.
