Hi dear friend. Very well done review. No matter how many reviews are in Spanish language, yours is very well depicted. My Thunder is about to come in a matter of two to three days, so I wanted to check as many reviews as posssible. Once again, yours is among the top!!! I hope you are still enjoying a lot everyday from your Thunder. Best regards from Lanzarote, SPAIN.
I bought a dualtron 2 limited from EWheels. I live in NYC and I cut my travel from from 45-1hr Down to 25 mins!!! These bad boys are NO JOKE. Be safe , probably catch you riding around NYC 💪🏼😎
Great video. Not only do we appreciate a thorough unboxing in English, but also no shitty dub step background music mixed in at a volume that doesn’t match the speaker's volume so you’re constantly jockeying the TV volume up or down to hear, or amateur special effects like star wipes or whatever other hackneyed special effects the video maker's 99¢ editing app offers.
Congrats on this amazing Monster Scooter, the Dualtron Thunder was the scooter I was looking to buy when I was looking for an Electric Scooter but the price was too much for me, the fact that it reaches 50 Mph is unbelievable, truly a masterpiece.. well I ended up getting me a Qiewa QPower it tops out at 42 Mph "GPS veryified" I love it 🙂 and for $1600, I am truly satisfied 🙂
Thanks for the video, for the nut covers someone else advised that you put some silicone in the nut cover and then put them on, this will stop you losing them with riding.
Hello, may I ask you what kind of helmet do you use when you ride the thunder? I have the eagle and looking for a full face and debating between the dirt bike style or the more heavy one for motorcycle. What’s your opinion?
Great question. For leisurely rides I wear a Pro Tec certified skateboard helmet. For longer rides or ones where I know I am going to be traveling fast (>30mph) I bought the TSG Pass Pro full face helmet. I won't lie I hate wearing the full face helmet but I do it on long or fast rides in the city.
Bruce Scheffel thank you. Yeah I’m looking at the TSG pass pro one, why do you hate it? Is a mountain full face bike good enough for the dualtron you think?
The 4 rubbers you placed on the wrong spot. They belong on the hub motor nuts. Im also a Dualtron Thunder owner from Brooklyn New York. IG: @RINGOTVRAW
Dualaped all day! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol... Where in Bk or anywhere North of Newark to Westchester ot to Suffolk Co can I buy and get this thing serviced?
No retail stores in NYC have the Thunder (or any Dualtron for that matter). Service is another sore point as I believe you would need to send to the West Coast service center should it need repair. That said, alot of the repairs (controller swap, hub motor replacement, tire replacement, switch replacement, brake pad replacement, etc.) are things that you can do yourself if you are a little fearless and can follow instructions/ TH-cam videos. I wouldn't let that deter you from buying one - it is a fabulous well built scooter.
The law hasn’t kept up with technology and in all states that I know of electric scooters don’t require license or registration or insurance. They also aren’t legally allowed on street like a moped or Vespa type scooter. The Thunder has as much power as a gas powered moped/scooter but isn’t subjected to same regulations (or privileges)
This model is just a years old so it wouldn't be time yet for anyone to replace their battery. That said it will be interesting to see over the years if MiniMotors offers a replacement battery.
I bought mine from minimotorsusa.com there is also a new mini motors nyc and eWheels also sells. Those would be your three options in the USA that I know of.
not intentionally. the components seems pretty well sealed so if I got caught in rain I wouldn't worry too much but certainly not going to ride for long in rain. 50% worry over damage, 50% it's just unpleasant.
Hi, I just got my Dualtron Thunder and right out of the box there’s wobble on the stem, is it the same thing with you when you got yours? Thank you for replying.
Unless you tighten the ring very tight there is a little wobble in the stem - it doesn't bother me at all and I don't even notice it. On the new Thunder replacement scooter - "Storm" there are now 2 rings.
It's got scary power. With the battery saver turned off it's almost got too much power - it will accelerate so fast you will get scared. I leave the power saver turned on and the there is also a setting for fast start on a scale of 1-5.
It's pretty new and a replacement for Dualtron 2. It's all about what you are looking for. I own three scooters (Thunder, Joyor F7, and UScooters Booster V) and they each fill a need. I would not recommend the Eagle Pro if you need to lift and carry the scooter up flights of stairs. It weighs over 60lbs. The practical weight to lift and carry is about 40lbs - both my UScooters and Joyor can be folded and carried into work - the Usccoter as 23lbs easily and the Joyor at 40lbs not easily but doable. No way with the Thunder - the Thunder is my long distance cruiser. I actually did not buy the Thunder for the power/speed, I bought it for the range so I can take 40 mile round trips comfortably. To me, once you get over 40lbs and know it isn't going to be carried around get the most scooter you can afford.
Bruce Scheffel thank you. Yeah I bought few month ago the speedway Leger but I realized that I want something stronger and faster so I sold it and got the eagle just now, will arrive in about 2 weeks. I live in an elevator building so it’s no a problem. I was just debating between the eagle pro vs the kaboo mantis pro. I heard the eagle is a bit better so I went with the eagle
@@allongold I'm conflicted in getting the storm or a cheapo scooter just to commute to work. I don't have plans on doing long distance cruising (yet) but I also want to go up inclines/hills without much problems. I may just get a uscooter for work and the storm for cruising around town later.
Jess A. Definately go with the new dualtron storm or something similar. I bought the speedway Leger back in February and ended up selling it and got the dualtron eagle. I don’t commute to work with the scooter since I don’t need but I use it to go to Brooklyn from Manhattan and just doing errands around the city which I can take it into supermarket and shops. Not sure how big is the storm but it’s 100lb and it’s probably going to be too big for supermarkets etc
Matt Locascio I have a dualtron limited and travel 8 miles there and 8 back ...I still have battery left over. Technically speaking better than a car! In a city like NYC !
@Ray Be kind to others, it goes a long way There is no way you are carrying this thing up a flight of stairs. It's nearly 100 pounds and awkward to lift.
@Ray Be kind to others, it goes a long way If you look at my other video where I installed the tow handle - I could barely lift and tow it on level ground due to the weight - it isn't practical for stairs.
Yes there is a remote for the LED lights on the stem. There is also a manual button on the side of scooter that can be used to turn all lights (including the headlights/rear lights) on/off. The remote has to be used to change the LED colors on the stem. The blue mood light on the bottom of the scooter can't change color - it is always blue.
Is this Bill? I just ordered the Thunder because of your post on Instagram. So damn excited! I appreciate the video. ALSO!! Where can I get that fierce clock????

Yes I figured out the power switch cover isn't supposed to be removed :). Yup I agree - the guys at minimotorsusa seems like they would be responsive to any issues that come. Thinking of ordering an extra tire and rim from them for the inevitable tire change.
satur9satur9 I ordered my Spider from eWheels and they have given me the best service I have ever received. Jason at eWheels has got back to me late evening on the weekend. @@ricemanhau yes ewheels customer service is second to none. And Jason is the best. I have purchased two scooters from them. A Speedway 4 not the Mini about 6 months ago and a dualtron Ultra about a month ago. When my ultra arrived it came off the FedEx truck upside down and the box was barely taped with Scotch tape. From all the siding around the original packing tape had worn off. FedEx simply flipped it over and put a couple pieces of Scotch tape on it.
