Foo Fighters' late drummer Taylor Hawkins wrote this song, and it is one of their many top hits, but FYI, it was also performed by Prince during his last Super Bowl performance. What an honor for Prince to sing one of your hit songs.
It was co-written by Taylor. Dave Grohl pretty much brings all the songs to the band. Sometimes they're fairly fully formed and sometimes the band works on them more.
There's something about the way the foo fighters do music.....? Huh..? Welcome to the club brother. Dude, you need to check out one of their live videos when they bring a fan onstage to play with them. They've done it many times. Shows you how cool they are. Most celebs would NEVER do that. Dave is a humble man. He loves his fans. He'll bring someone up and let them play a song with the band. I know you would truly appreciate this and understand how much it means to that person. Onstage rocking with the foo's. They just changed someone's life with a simple kind gesture. It still amazes me everytime.
I love that line from the song: "I needed somewhere to hang my head without your noose". Dude, you have to react to "My Hero". The live performance featuring Taylor Hawkins (Tony's teenage son) playing drums. It was a tribute to his dad who passed away and it is amazing.
Yes this is an absolute must! They killed the performance but watching Shane KILLIT on drums surrounded by people honoring his father while Dave looked at him with so much pride. Its not only a masterful moment in music but you can just feel the love.
They were my first concert ever at age 16 (1999/2000) and I'm so glad I was able to see them before Taylor Hawkins passed because he was an unbelievable drummer!!!
Haha! I just commented almost the exact thing. Saw them twice, and they were 🔥 First was about 11 years ago and second was this summer. Both were great!
Co-sign all of this! Definitely check out the Prince Super Bowl performance. I read that Dave Grohl didn’t know P was going to cover this song and cried when he saw it.
This is my FAVORITE FOO SONG! And the way Dave sings into that microphone has been a topic of discussion amongst my girlfriends over a glass of wine. 🙂 And you know he was the drummer for Nirvana, right?
This song is one that might have taken me a while to understand. But when I did, I never forgot it. I was going through a living hell, I had no family for almost 10,000mi in sight, no real friends and was being traumatized in a way that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I listened to this song a lot during that time. It gave me an outlet for all the unspeakable pain I was enduring. I never gave in, I refused. But someone was definitely getting the best of me and it's going to be a long, slow time for it to heal.
Times Like These, Learn to Fly, My Hero, Monkey Wrench, All My Life and more. Always watch their official videos because they are top shelf productions. Learn to Fly is hilarious and one of their most popular songs.
I just found your channel yesterday and subscribed. Love your genuine reaction to these songs. You hooked me with the Alanis Morissette You Outta Know reaction. That was hilarious! 😂
This is the third reaction of yours that I watched, I usually need a solid 7 out of 10 before I subscribe... You are 3 for 3 and I just hit the subscribe button! Keep up the great work my brother!
People who can see when they need to change is the most powerful thing, in my opinion. Bc we can't change other people and why they are afraid to give it their all. But wow.
Can you check out some neil young. He has 60 ish albums. Ya.....60 ish. He has some iconic hits and a ton of hidden gems. Also completely original, and uncompromising artist. Check out , southern man , Ohio, last trip to Tulsa, sedan delivery, harvest moon, too many to mention.
Check out Queens of the Stone Age, No One Knows. Dave Grohl on the drums, absolutely friggin banger of a song!!!!! I'm a bit of Dave fan. I've followed him since Nirvana, Nevermind. He's only about 6 years older than me. This Man has has been with me for a lot of my life.
What an incredible career Dave Grohl has had. First with the iconic Nirvana, and then to go on to make this amazing band. If you want to check out another legend, take in War Pigs by Black Sabbath. Ozzy is definitely a unique talent.
Love these reactions! We have the same taste in Rock that's for sure! Rage Against the Machine and Foo Fighters are two of my favorite. I have a suggestion. Check out Dig by Incubus. I think its right up your alley. 🤘
This is a FF great, but for me personally, "The Pretender" is better and "All My Life" is better than both. So please check out "All My Life" next. I'd be really surprised if you didn't like it the most.
You’ve been getting into Foo Fighters lately, so let me tell you about a band they’ve been very vocal about loving, BabyMetal. I promise you have no idea something like this even exists. Check out their song Road of Resistance, live in Japan.
The only Foo Fighters song I like lol. Try some thrash metal, South of Heaven by Slayer. Or something by Magadeth. Or try some country like God’s Country by Blake Shelton
Please react to Shaboozey-Let it Burn. Amazing lyrics, absolute 🔥....my hype song. I see it as giving my ex husband the middle finger every time I listen to it😂. Shaboozey vibing in the video. Mad Love❤
The best halftime show I've ever seen when watching on TH-cam is probably Prince. He did this track if I'm right. Prince halftime show is a good reaction but you're probably going to catch a block.
Foo Fighters are my FAVORITE band! (After Led Zeppelin) I love every single thing about my boys. Thank God for Dave Grohl 🙌 holding up Rock. Keep on down the rabbit hole 🕳 bangers! "Everlong" BUT DONT WATCH THE OFFICIAL VIDEO OMG its so distracting - their signiture song "Monkey Wrench" "Learn To Fly" "My Hero" "Times Like These" "Walk" "All My Life"
(Please check out) Hey Steve, "Miss Prince" is a must if you're a fan of the late great Prince but "F@#k A Bomb" and "Birthday Suit" are also fantastic. Foo Fighters " Sky Is A Neighborhood" is probably my favorite from them
dave ghrol is amazing!!!! he was the guitarist for nirvana...just some trivia....but their long time drummer Taylor Hawkins just passed not 2 long ago so yea their amazing......do more of their stuff!!!!

Wow! I didn’t know that. RIP.
And that's how I became a fan of the Foo Fighters 😂😂😂

When Prince broke into this song at the superbowl half time, I thought I would pass out
Me tooooooooo! I was screaming!
Aaaand that’s how I became a fan of the Foo Fighters 😂😂😂 so glad I got to see them before Taylor passed.
Love too fighters!
It's crazy how much the singer of Foo Fighters looks like the drummer from Nirvana
😂
They're brothers 🥸
Same guy!
@@SusanFritz-v7i I know, just trying to be funny
RIP, sweet Taylor ❤
They were my first concert ever at age 16 (1999/2000) and I'm so glad I was able to see them before Taylor Hawkins passed because he was an unbelievable drummer!!!
If you get a chance to go see a Foo Fighters concert. Do yourself a favor and go! They are complete fire live!🔥🔥🔥

Seeing them for the first time on their uk tour next summer. Can’t wait.
We took our son to see them here in the UK for his first ever gig when he was 6!
@@emilywilliamson288 that is awesome! Starting him out early.
Yessss. Will be seeing them for the 5th time next August!
This song got me out of rock bottom when I went through a difficult break-up.. listened to it on replay and slowly, I clawed my way out. ❤
That feeling is called hype metal and rock music is emotional driven and a good chunck of it will make u wanna jump out of your seat and go nuts
This is my FAVVVVVORITE Foo Fighters song, ever!!! ❤
Isn't it wonderful when you can really feel the music, all the way to your toes. Enjoy your reactions.
This is what music is supposed to do. it's the ONE thing we can all come together to celebrate!
Check out Prince's Super Bowl halftime show, where he covers this song. The whole performance is the best the Super Bowl has ever had!
Co-sign all of this! Definitely check out the Prince Super Bowl performance. I read that Dave Grohl didn’t know P was going to cover this song and cried when he saw it.
Since You like The Pretender & Best of You, you definitely should check out “Monkey Wrench” from their 1997 album “The Colour and the Shape”.
I love Monkey Wrench! Been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it in 1997. I still listen to it a few times each week.

Foofighters are my favorite group by a longshot and you did them proud!!
I freaking love the pretender. Part of that is the official video as well. But man this song is freaking awesome.
Times Like These, Learn to Fly, My Hero, Monkey Wrench, All My Life and more. Always watch their official videos because they are top shelf productions. Learn to Fly is hilarious and one of their most popular songs.
Watch the show where the band does an acoustic show and Dave says he’s singing it for his sister
Chains are universal and always broken the same
Maybe still a useful tool for good things
They are touring in 2024, great reaction!
This is the one that makes me cry.
I just found your channel yesterday and subscribed. Love your genuine reaction to these songs. You hooked me with the Alanis Morissette You Outta Know reaction. That was hilarious! 😂

Watch the little 10 year old girl from the U.K. play drums for them at the Hollywood Bowl.
Make sure especially, that your family and loved ones are getting the best of you. Not work, not your hobbies or vices.. ❤😎👊
You should listen to Tim Christensen Whispering On The Top Of My Lungs. The best songwriter/musician in my opinion in Denmark ❤
