To be fair, adult buffalo would be more than a mouthful for crocs compared with usual zebras and wilderbeest. I don't think I've seen any videos capturing crocs taking down a fully grown adult. Calves I imagine would their target but even so, I've not seen a video of crocs taking down buffalo calves
Comment is right on. A full grown cape bull and/or cow might be too much a mouthful of frenzied, grizzled, solid muscled 'black death' for even a super large croc. And the calves never wander too far from the cows. The 'Crocs River Crossing Union' voted to take a pass on buffalo.
