you can turn in those battle seans off so it will just have them smack them with their weapons no magical amounts of people popping up attack u just smack em with your weapons
I think people are somewhat missing the significance of these games. Particularly with regard to the second one. These are seminal games, in every sense of the word. There is a reason the collectors edition completely sold out a while back on the European NIS store. This release contains an absolutely immense amount of content.
Compared to the original its way to easy. First try on the first map in the demo i beat the enemy instead of fleeing. Thats something i could never do as a child. I just wish they released the original version on the ps4. That i would buy instantly
Will grab this as I’ve been looking forward to it. But you know what I really want remastered or re-released on modern consoles? Suikoden I & 2. But seeing as that’s Konami, nothing will probably happen with that IP unless it’s a pachinko or gatcha game. But I am happy with Langrisser for now.
Not a fan of the artsyle, but, the gameplay has me interested. At least it looks better than that Re-incarnation game they put out on the 3DS. I'll buy it though. Hopefully, they can improve upon the visuals if they decide to remake other titles in the series.
Honestly I completely agree. I mean, I'm a fire emblem fan and definitely the target demographic for this compilation and yet I understand it's a bit too pricey for current standards. IMO they should've included a third remastered game and then it would feel just right. On the other hand, I'm conflicted because this got a physical release and I think it wouldn't have been possible if the price was lower. I'm a collector myself and I think that unless these kind of products get support from switch owners when they're at full price, they most likely won't be releasing more anytime soon. In an ideal world, the companies would understand that they HAVE to keep trying but adding more value/content....but we don't live in such a place.
I'm in the same boat. I love FE, War Groove, and even enjoyed Langrisser mobile; I want to see what the original games were like; but I just can't bring myself to spend 50 dollars on two games that are so bare bones and look like they were made from assets of the mobile game.
It would have been the perfect opportunity to remake the 3rd game. I don’t know why they went with a different combat system for that installment. At least they learned from their mistake and returned to the old system (more or less) for 4&5.
@@orangeslash1667 appreciate the suggestion, I was literally just looking for a new game to play when I saw your comment. Definitely gonna check it out.
There is a hair of added content such as new characters and a new potential ending or two. It's not much, though. Most of the work was with voice overs and art.
I like this type of game but I already have similar games ie fire emblem and SRW V,X,T so I am going to wait for a sale. The price is high but if my backlog was smaller(it is not!), I would probably pay that price since you get two rpgs.
Even the Genesis Warsong (Langrisser I) and Langrisser II still have the individual soliders move up to the enemies and do melee attack if they are indeed supposed to do so... not like this lazy way of standing back and hitting air... it just seems so weak... and the art style really put me off a little... I used to love playing the originals on Genesis when I was kid... I would replay them multiple times just to try and experience all the different classes they can evolve to.
I'd go as high as $40 personally. It looks like it's got a fair bit of replay value, so $20 per game given the face lift sounds reasonable to me, but no way am I going any higher when you can get indie games like wargroove for $20.
The problem is, this is not technologically better than a phone-based game, thus, it should not command a price higher than most phone-based games of the same ilk. So to me, that's $10 per game.
Why is it look worse than the langrisser mobile??? The caracters look so generic, the soldier animations looks so horrible like they were made on flash(a bad animation flash). Elwin and Ledin looks the same caracter ja ja ja. Langrisser Mobile has a lot of better graphics and sound. Even de Pcengine, PS1 and Saturn has better graphics and have anime videos.
First impression was sour. I was a huge fan of the originals decades ago (Warsong on Genesis and Langrisser 2 translated). The remake felt way too much like a phone game. The chibi art style for the troops with everyone's mouths hanging open was off-putting. The start of each battle scene is jarring and frame rate suddenly dips. Then when the battle does begin, the two armies don't charge each other. They stand Final Fantasy style and swing wildly while an explosion of colors blinds what's happening. I hope this release sold well because I want more Langrisser, but I really hope they take this IP more seriously and put more effort into the performance and presentation.

That’s something we can’t deny
Now if we can only get Sega to bring ShiningForce III to the Switch!!!!!!!!
Now that would be something!
That'd be amazing, but they'd probably port the gba version
Nintendo owns Camelot (The Shining Force 1-3 devs) now.
Sega still owns “The Shining series” though. Not Camelot.
Nerdy Cynic we got them on switch tho that’s how we got shining resonance refrain im sure they’ll do another one in original format someday
I´m playing the demo in the last weeks and very good impressions. Purchsed today for Switch.
Hope you enjoy
You did an excellent editing job my man ^_^ so surreal to hear my own words come out of your mouth!
Haha thanks to you my friend excellent tag team 💪

Aaaahh don’t play with my heart like that buddy. S1&2 are two of my all time favs
AzureArcher id like suikoden as wel and FF tactics
Never played that. Looks intuigin and I like the strategy aspect. Might buy.
Is it weird that I’m more excited by this than anything else this month?
Not really. I’m quite excited too!

excellent video thank you, never heard of this one before
Glad we could bring it to your attention 😃
When fire emblem went to different path and abandoned their classic feel now i find this game. Fire Emblem x Ygdraa Union whuuut? damn that is sick
Wouldn't “Grand Guilds” be more close to Ygdraa Union?
You can make it automatically skip battles without having to press a button in the settings btw
It looks like a great game but I'll wait until it's half off
That will probably happen at some point down the line
Agreed.extremely overpriced for a 30 years old remastered game

800 people left to 50.000. Exciting!
😃👍 it is buddy, thank you!
Hopefully Growlanser is next.
Would be cool!
Actually as the game is old and talking about dev, and retention of game price. At the time of those games they were 19.95.
The set of questions in the beginning remind me of Tactics Ogre

Don't blame you buddy!
Fire Emblem definitely feels cleaner, but this game is still good.
Is there anyway to move a group of enemies at once? Do you have to move each individual unit?
Would like to know this too
You can give orders to units so they will either follow commander, attack if enemy is within range, defend commander of move manualy only
Even the Genesis Warsong (Langrisser I) and Langrisser II still have the individual soliders move up to the enemies and do melee attack if they are indeed supposed to do so... not like this lazy way of standing back and hitting air... it just seems so weak... and the art style really put me off a little... It's a great game if it's at $20.
Would certainly be a nicer price $25-30 would be a sweet spot for me
For me, that's key. Without English dub, I can't justify anything higher than $25.

Very old school but gonna skip and keep my eye on that new Pokemon dungeon game
