@leilahmanson iv been formally diagnosed with Ehlers-danlos syndrome and this condition is awful and the NHS arnt even trained on us and they just leave us to decline the condition is genetic and it's debilitating. I wish I could be in there millionaire/billionaire position cuz with health issues and a shitty NHS the money would certainly help I whanna open a small dress business but these is absolutely no point here i whanna leave so badly x

I know it sounds weird, but I can relate to it. 10 years ago I left the UK for Norway. The most beautiful country on Earth, seriously. After 6 months I was running back, I was almost ecstatic on my first walk in the city centre with all those people around me, with all those shops etc. Since then I see the UK differently.
And many more would if they could afford it or didn’t have family commitments.

First time in 25yrs actually heard my other half talk about leaving but cant as his mother too frail but otherwise consider it.
Just put it on the back burner until such times. We were in the same boat looking after my Dad but he died a year ago. We wouldn’t have left him either. But obviously now nothing to stop us from going. So we are looking at our options now. Trying to find a forever place to retire. I wish you both all the best as it’s hard.
The UK is no place for entrepreneurs. You need creative freedom, support and enthusiastic environment, you won't get that in the UK. I'm 44 and I left 2 weeks ago to build a new life in SE Asia.

I love my country and have family ties here but if I didn’t I’d be going.
The problem with the uk is that Labour will destroy the income from the millionaires and billionaires. Then they won’t have the income so they will turn on the middle class and tax them until they squeak. Then they are going to leave and the revenue will decline. They’ll then hit the working class. By then the economy will be destroyed and they will not be able to borrow. This is when they turn on the money printing. Inflation will skyrocket. And the country will be destroyed for ever.
This is exactly what we had in the 70s. Unfortunately the schools and universities don’t teach just how inept Labour are and they certainly don’t teach the winter of discontent and the IMF bail out. We can’t afford these clowns in charge for 5 years.
They are already hitting the working and middle classes, i can't fathom how people voted for them, yes i know the Tories were bad but look at the last time Labour were in, this version was always going to be worse still. There is absolutely no doubt they will devastate this country by the time they are ousted, imo, i think its too late for the UK now, too much damage has been done.

Jeff Bezos summed this up and people got offended but it's true "some people are designed to be poor" which might feel like an attack, I have been poor most of my life, but I didn't give up trying to better my situation, and manage the money I do get, properly. There is a type of poor person who just wants a hand out that they can squander, buying liabilities like the latest smartphone rather than assets like tools to do business.
Many of these people come from council estates, they can't be helped. They don't listen to anyone or anything, so they get angry at the world and go out stealing, doing drugs and drink
So it is true. A lot of people ARE poor by design. They don't deserve free knowledge, they won't do anything with it anyway.
Some people can't be helped, even if you wanted to help them. They are not interested in following a process and are only interested in instant gratification like winning the lottery. They don't want to understand anything, they just want a hand out they can squander.
Certain people are not worthy of help. Finding those who are worthy of help is like looking for a needle in a haystack

Im british born and i dont feel any affiliation to "britishness" whatsoever, along with the high tax take and lack of backbone from our leaders. Id happily leave. I stayed in a mountain ski resort, a mountain called Le Plagne in France for 2 weeks, i was happy there, felt more like home to me than the west midlands. UK sucks.

I work as a company formation agent and most clients are setting up in UAE now.
We need these people as the top 10% pay 40% off the HMRC income tax so if they lose who is paying it.
The issue is with the gentry who pay nothing not the rich working class.
Actually it’s the general tax take isn’t enough to support the expenditure. So you either raise tax or cut spending. The real problem is the income tax rate at the bottom is too low. We now have more people contributing less than they get back in government expenditure. Meaning the tax burden falls on the middle class upwards. The rich do pay more, but the narrative is they don’t.
The real problem is the distribution of wages is wrong. CEOs paid millions or multi millions while being ultimately replaceable because they move around every 5-10 years. While middle earners get much less. Low wages have gone up too much leaving people nothing to strive for. We effectively have semi socialism and it does not work. It’s just a slower decline that if we had full socialism. Tories forgot how to run the country and spent too much.
@davideyres955 yeah the rich working class do pay big time but the old money never pay anything the royals pay nothing there extended family is huge and again they pay nothing the Lords and lady's even our politician basicly pay absolutely nothing only the working class ever pay yet all the wealth is this county is made from there backs and the huge gap in inequality is causing all of our issues the working class of all levels need to be left allows and the mega mega rich need to acctully pay people like sushi sunak need to pay and we all his wealth is in his wife's name she's non dom if you make money abroad it should stay abroad but what money she makes here she deffinatly dont pay her way we need to go after them not those working.
