there was waaay too little of "our ex sucks", I needed a lot more. also, jaskier forgave geralt too fast, there should've been at least two minutes of arguing and shouting and then a big, really firm hug.
the writing in this season was so bad that it was somehow worse than hawkeye and that is something...

We didn't get a lot of Geralt-Jaskier and Geralt-Yennefer scenes this season, but BY GOD these two perfectly filled that void... I love them so much!

I desperately hope jaskier plays a bigger role in season 3. His energy interacting with every character is just golden.

They probably have better chemistry because the writing is unintentionally kinder to them. They aren’t aware of the magic they’re creating. I need more of them in s3 because they were one of the best parts of this season.

I think jaskier really makes every scene he is in. He has a ton of energy and chemistry with both of the main leads. I do look forward to actually seeing him hopefully interact with Ciri next season.

Joey and Anya have such good chemistry. I wish we got a Yen-Jaskier tandem throughout the season to balance out the paternal chemistry of Geralt-Ciri. let's be honest, we just love the enemies to friends to lovers dynamic, that's why we feel so more compelled by them than geralt (with all due respect to the angsty dude)
is he angsty? That makes it sound like an emo teen when he actually handles all the shit that happens to him pretty well. he is broodinig, but I wouldn't say angsty
i still think about the fact that while yennefer says “I need YOU”, geralt says “I need YOUR HELP” and while geralt/jaskier will forever be my OTP….i feel like geralt has a long way to go before he can openly feel and express a single positive emotion. I’m the mean time: jaskier falling in love with yennefer and falling back in love with geralt and them all living happily ever YES please

Geralt couldn't even properly apologize to Jaskier in s2. I was really angry how Geralt is still treating him after the mountain. If I were Jaskier I would have cursed his existence to the moon and back. Despite them being my OTP. Which is why I am drowning myself in fanfictions to forget the wreckage of s2.
Ironically with where they’ve brought the story in season 2, Yennefer is now the person that seems to acknowledge and value not only Jaskier’s capabilities, but him as a person the most, while everyone else just sort of..brushes him off, dismisses him, or forgets he’s there (in terms of the Geralt, Witcher Keep and co). Geralt does break him from jail and say he needs his help, he does entrust him to travel with Ciri and says sorry, but after that’s done Jaskier seems to be regulated back to being an afterthought. Which, objectively Geralt has a lot on his plate and most of it revolving around Ciri who is and should be his first priority as a parent figure, but it is telling how it’s Jaskier who Yennefer goes to with the stone, it’s his arms she stumbles into after the fight. She’s the one who knows about Jaskier’s torture and who saved him, who knows he’s the Sandpiper and of what he experienced to make him become that, beyond the performance of comic relief bard he puts up. While I really love their new dynamic and how they developed this season, it’s kind of sad how their relationship has grown closer to the kind of dynamic that Geralt and he actually had in the books than between he and Geralt themselves.
Jaskier is the best thing about this series and here is the proof
If I were Yennefer I'd definitely choose him.

Their interactions were an unexpcted highlight of the season for me.
I know these are supposed to be the funny bits but when he remembers she's part elf and gets genuinely distressed and apologetic? When he begs the fire fucker not to hurt her when he's the one who was tortured all night? When instead of revelling in it when Geralt actually apologises to him, he tries to tell him that Yennefer has changed?! GUH. These two were the highlight of the series.
idk anything about the lore outside the show, so please answer my question without spoiling too much. Are the 4 of them (Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer and Jaskier) going on an adventure all together at the beginning of the next season? That sounds like a ton of fun to watch.
Honestly don't know. They've strayed pretty far from the source material. I, for one, love it. Just don't go on the witcher subreddit. Those little man children are having a hissy fit.

I honestly love the Idea of all the main cast being together for a large amount of screen time. How was the relationship btw Jaskier and Ciri in the books or the Games? haven't seen them interact in the show but I think Ciri would be quite fond of Jaskier:) Can't wait to see what's going to happen. hopefully we won't have to wait for another two years to get another 8 episodes.
@@alirezasaliani5165 Despite the story indeed straying quite a lot from the books this season, everything still ties pretty nicely with how "Time of Contempt" starts.
So my guess is season 3 will beggin with Yennefer teaching magic to Ciri, while Jaskier and Geralt investigate on who truly is after the girl (aside from the various kingdoms, obviously) and try to protect her. Then, political things, conspiracies and betrayals happen, mostly involving the mages. Pretty much what the ending teases.
As for Jaskier and Ciri, they enjoy each other's company and share a few great scenes, but sadly don't spend that much time together.
@@ponchoandy Well to be fair, there's not a lot of source material to follow for Blood of Elves. Unless you wanted 8 episodes of Ciri training and political manoeuvring from all the Kingdoms.

I must confess that as enjoyable as they were together, it felt like overall the writers had absolutely no clue what to do with Jaskier this season. He could just as well be completely left out, and the plot would not change one bit.
And I thought if it was not for not him getting himself kidnapped by the mage, We would have witnessed Yennefer reuniting with Frangila and Francesca in Nilfgrad with Cahir.
