Frank and Craig keep saying Mbappe is only concerned about scoring goals for himself. Mbappe literally has 12 goals AND 12 assists in his last 20 matches for France. Not to mention 48 goals AND 35 assists in 86 caps for Mbappe. These pundits do not watch matches critically. I genuinely think they have the matches on in the background and are just yapping with each other instead of closely watching the games.

@OptLab it's a deceitful game. Kone could have been given a red card against Italy and Belgium. He does ok but nothing special. He's only there because of the players you mentioned who are absent. But I would be calling up Le Fee once he is healthy. You need a player who can influence the game from the midfield like Griezman. Get rid Thuram and bring Terrier. Also try out Mateta. Dembele I also wouldn't trust. Nor Kolo. When we face a quality opponent these guys disappear. A change in formation will also help. Maybe a 3-5-2

As a Belgian it’s sad to see our team dusted like this. We had a golden generation wasted under Wilmots, a solid WC 2018 and a W against Portugal in Euros 2020 (or 2021?) and that’s all we’ve done on the big stage. Fun while it lasted 🤷♂️.

1. Unfortunately, given all his amazing output already the target is on his back more. I think he has some extra wear and tear for his age as he doesn’t consistently look the same.
2. Additionally he’s obviously a threat but I think he’s frustrated in the offensive system and thus the appearance is he can come off as selfish and only looking to score (which sometimes can be true as it was in the Belgium match). I bet if Deschamps opens up the attack more (Dembele, when he’s on….can be sooooo good) Mbappe will appear more team oriented.
Again the wear and tear doesn’t help, but maybe if Deschamps worked on maximizing the amazing offensive talent France could better utilize and maybe Mbappe won’t appear as selfish as he does nowadays.
