I would have approached that a little differently at the dock. I’d have straightened my steers and let it drift a little. Create a little space on the blind side
For me I would have walked in and find out what you need to do. All that unnecessary jockeying around to back out is uncalled for. But then again you only been driving for 3yrs.! You still have a lot to learn. I've been there and done that! You also could have called ahead to find out what you need to do when you arrive being you never have been there before. You will get smarter the longer you keep at it. And please don't give any advice about trucking, you yourself still are learning how you should do things. Be safe out there and be aware of your surroundings.

I agree I was already frustrated with how the day went and they wanted me to switch docks..
