Katherine Sampson How very kind, Thank you. It’s people like you who take the time to comment and let us know you are enjoying our videos that makes all the difference in the world, so thank you for all your lovely comments, I really appreciate you. Hugs, Vanessa 💖💟💕🎨😍
Sussie Rodgers well hello & welcome Sussie, thanks so much for your lovely words & happy you are enjoying. I will do more videos when I can. Hugs 🤗 Vanessa 💕
Thanks for sharing :) Still waiting for my pre-order Olive ... So delightful we all get to do it our way/ I really enjoy the smooth leather that has not been rolled
New subscriber to your channel I’ve just got my first Midori and I already want a different colour, so yes this is going to be a new passion , I love your pages and illustrations can’t wait to see more so thanks for sharing
Caz Young Welcome, so glad you found my channel and thank you for your lovely comments - I so appreciate you taking the time to let me know and congratulations on your first Midori. What color did you get? It will probably be the first of many! Hugs Vanessa
I was in front of a whole shelf of TN everything at Tokyu Hands in Osaka and wasn't into that yet at that time. Now I'm regretting not hoarding after watching your video! I am also a lover of journals, fountain pens & washi tape and stamps and watercolor... I also love the sound of the paper!!! Now I'm wondering why so many people love all these now. I guess we all get a certain therapy with all that :D
myfavorite things Therapy is right, I find it all so healing and fulfilling and hope you will too. You will find once bitten it is quite challenging not to open ones purse 👛 strings. It is a wonderful healthy past time and although difficult one can keep it relatively simple! I happen to be a full time artist which allows me to justify and expense certain supplies!! Enjoy every moment of your journey and thanks for being here 💕
I enjoyed your video tremendously. It is so much fun to watch and listen someone who is so happy with what she is doing. Have gladly subscribed to your channel.
Hi! Lovely TN’s. I’m not sure if you have a video up on how you roll and condition your TN’s or if you plan on making one soon? A noob and lover of these journals like myself would be oh so grateful for a tutorial on that, just a thought ;)
Karen Rosa thanks so much & welcome. I am a serious roller and yes I did do a video on rolling. You just need to be careful around stitching of pockets when rolling. Enjoy & have fun 💕💖🌸
Hello, I'm Karla... Nice to meet you. I'm new to all this Midori stuff. I never knew how big the Midori Community was until last year when I was in need of a way to keep my ToDo list, calendar, and art journaling together. I found the simplicity of Midori TN to be my answer since I thought it would be something I could keep with me while out in nature too. We'll.... nature and a rabbit hole of decorative papers, tapes, inks, and embellishments of all kinds... oh my, it has me a bit overwhelmed. I guess I'm feeling the pressure... Anyway, I have an old collection of product that's just waiting to be used and I found I'm feeling a bit more at ease after watching your videos since your using many of the same things I have on hand. I will set up a place to create and give this all a go with my new Midori adventure. I'm in the process of making my own watercolor paper insert to start. I will be back to watch more of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Artfully yours, Karla
Karla Smith Welcome Karla, so glad to meet you and it is indeed a big rabbit 🐰 hole but oh so fun. So glad you found Midori and are art journaling and am thrilled that my little video was helpful to you. It is easy to get a little overwhelmed however just remember that your journals 📓 are there for your pleasure and there are no rules - enjoy 😊 keep documenting your days 💕
I can totally relate because I kept saying I'm good with notebooks for now. And I go ahead and order not one but TWO more sojourners! I need help! 😂😂😂. Love your Olive and video.
lailovespen2paper _ Yes we both need an intervention! However it is a lot of fun and most enjoyable and a wonderful creative outlet. Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed the video
Ellen de man Hi Ellen, thanks so much, I find the Midori insert paper does very well with watercolor & inks and hardly warps at all and I LOVE the crinkly sound of the Tomoe River Paper once watercolors have been added - such deliciousness. Happy New Year, hugs, Vanessa 💕
Lulu Lime Designs Thanks, i’m going to give it a try. I’m going to give it a try. Glad i’ve found your channel. Happy New year and all the best to you too!
the olive one is especially gorgeous. i love your vids & different take on journal art. not just vintage & shabby chic :-) tfs & hey from Middle Earth (-:
Liana Muthrtung Hey Liana, so nice to hear from you and thank you so much for your kind words. Reading that you enjoy my videos means so much to me 💕 TY
Deb Smith - it is so strange your comment showed up coming in and then I go to reply to you and its nowhere to be seen or found, not under comments waiting for review or spam so I will just reply here and hope you see it. So glad you are getting the Olive, how exciting and totally understand you do not choose to roll - different strokes for different folks! Thats what its all about finding out what we love and what speaks to us. Enjoy your new addition and maybe post some photos online or do a video - yes please
Ana Mabrey The week and memo insert comes plain - you can catch a quick glimpse of it untouched at 7.50 mark. What you see is decorated by me with inks, washi, drawings, stamps and Watercolors. The gold is a Daniel Smith watercolor called iridescent gold - such a gorgeous color and shimmer. Thanks for stopping by, hugs 🤗 Vanessa
I forgot to add that I too suffer from the affliction of wanting to add more notebooks despite my resolutions to not buy more. The silly thing is rather than buy a notebook to fill a need, we tend to buy another notebook and then decide what to use it for. Seems a bit backwards.
Susan Weller That sounds like a good plan to me! Yes can't get enough. I have two more on order - a travelers company Tokyo Station (couldn't resist) and one from Speckled Fawns - Oooopsie! Then a long break is in the plan. Less expensive than handbags 👜 shoes 👠 and jewelry 💍. That's my excuse anyways! 💟
Karla Smith Yes I preordered from an Etsy shop Niconecozakkaya - www.etsy.com/shop/Niconecozakkaya although I do not see it anymore in the shop. Hope that helps 🌺
Lovely work and very creative Stuff! Love your ideas and vision. Everything is good! You should avoid maintaining your journal for sickness means you are going to get sick for the sake of filling the pages. You have to avoid keep tracking to how and when you get unwell. So the more you see the pattern the more your mind will act to continue the routine. Doctors must not be special persons to be included in the journal unless you seeking advice and consultations for special health care on occasions. They are there not heal any conditions but to dress and give Pharmaceutical drugs to their patients.
Cyril Jayant Thank you so much. I totally get what you have written and you make some really good points and food for thought. I have resisted keeping track for years and am against most pharma as it is toxic however I am interested to see if there is a pattern with what I consume and headaches etc. I am delighted not to fill this one up at all!! Thanks so much for being here and taking the time to comment and offer me heartfelt advice 💕
Kate LM Thanks so much. Yes the Fourruof was offered as a pre order from an etsy shop called Niconecozakkaya - I don't see it in her shop presently however perhaps you can message her and ask. Here is the link www.etsy.com/shop/niconecozakkaya. Hope you find one ☝️
Kate LM Oh good 😊 of course you need it! I highly recommend it, absolutely love it especially with the Olive edition although it would look good with any of the TN's except maybe the blue one ☝️
Anna H Thanks so much. I use permanent inks by Noddlers and deAtramentis, bulletproof and document, most purchased from Goulet Pens. My favorite is Lexington Gray and bulletproof brown by Noodlers and Document black, brown and fuscha by deAtramentis. Hope that helps. I am planning to do a video on the inks soon 😁
Anna H I am thrilled you are enjoying them🌹 There will be a written test when you have completed ✅ them!!!! Hee hee 😜 just playing. You will love the brown, it goes so well with the vintage look
Crystal Korzep hi Crystal, I have collected my stamps over a long period of time from many places such as Michaels, Amazon, Niconeco & ABlankNote. Hopefully you can find some you love from those resources. 💕
Thankfully, when I got this joyful habit decades ago, I had no money or space for these expensive notebooks. And when I can finally afford several of them, I already had a cabinet of filled journals and don't care about the appearance of the notebooks as much as I did when I was younger.
Lucy Lu Well that is good, it will save you a lot of money 💰 Its so good to enjoy and use what you have 💕 Enjoy and thanks for being here and taking the time to comment
Lucy Lu Thanks so much. What do you think I might find offensive? No idea! Anyways I found nothing you wrote offensive - just delightful and completely understood your journey 🌸💕🌺
Larry Glatt The paper in the notebooks I use is Tomoe River Paper, 52 gsm. You can purchase these notebooks from various shops including mine which is www.lululimedesigns.com and also from Paper Penguin on Etsy, Jetpens, Galen Leather & also on Amazon, many are the 68 gsm version - a little bit thicker paper. Hope that helps. Take care, Vanessa 🌸
