That knob in the middle of the pitcher, if you don't know already, if you turn on formant and turn it up and down it's supposed to drop the octave of your voice or raise the octave while keeping it in tune. It wont work unless you have that on

It was a really enegaging tutorial but there's one thing I'd like to remind that the "FORMANT Button" needs to be turned on (the red light inside the plugin window) in order to let the change take place!

I’d say mix them, especially if they’re raw.
For the record please do not change your Fine Tune in Pitcher, that is a Detune knob Not a Flex Tune knob

Why not cut stuffs out first from the eq
You totally can if you want to, but the reason I put the Pitcher first is so it tunes all of the frequencies then I can cut them how I like them afterwards. That way if the Pitcher boosts any harsh frequencies, I can go ahead and cut them with the EQ as well. Thank you for the question!

Low and harsh frequencies make the autotune algorithm go crazy so it's better to put auto tune after in the chain, the same thing goes for de essing, put the autotune after eq and before compression

with the fine tune on the pitcher you're kinda just detuning your vocals not really using the 'natural fluctuation of the vocals' or am i missing something here
if you not using stock plugins does this apply too
It definitely can, as long as you know your plugins and how to get a similar sound. For example, you could use Valhalla Vintage Verb instead of the stock reverb, AutoTune Pro instead of Pitcher, and FabFilter instead of the stock EQ.
@crowncollectiverecords or if you're on a budget, I would use plugins by ToneBoosters and Cymatics, such as the TbEqualizer, and stuff like Newtone. Its all free and the last one is already a stock plugin, and it allows you to not only autotune your vocals, but also change the melody, pacing, and change how natural it sounds overall.
Constructive criticism here, try to be more energetic next time and speak clearly... Good video tho, I learn some new tricks.

@@AleKz-pz3sm the video was actually recorded @akgbeats home studio. FL Studio has multiple different packages, I believe they start at around $100.
