That horse one is gorgeous. Absolutely love love LOVE the style he used with the contour lines and JUST enough detail for you to see where the legs drift off to. The line weights are perfect and it just overall is fantastic. Easily my favourite of the bunch.
He got sent home on that horse and the dude that did the backwards hand didn’t, even though he was in the bottom. I think the judges fucked up on that one because a backwards hand that can’t be fixed is inexcusable. Unless someone added to the top and made it look like someone was grabbing her sword.
I like that you listened to your canvass who wanted the sword to be the main focus. You nailed it!!! The face on your samurai is so pretty and delicate. Just perfect!!!

Yeah, while clearly the best of the bunch, the finger waves here are mostly pretty average. Having said that, the art of finger waves is a skill set of its own within traditional Japanese tattooing and is incredibly hard to do correctly (in the traditional sense).
I love and hate Ink Master. The politics hurts the show the most. A backwards hand should be sent home. You can't fix it. It's a rookie mistake. I'm tired of huge mistakes and not even doing the challenge getting passes.
