  • This is a fun tutorial based on the "hidden magic" technique - with a twist. I've added a bonus of a more unusual type of pendant, Boho style.
    Necessary:
    Premo pearls (2 to 4 colors or mixes) - I explain the whole color issue in the video
    1 color of regular polymer clay related to the pearlescent colors
    1 color of mica very contrasting with the clay colors
    1 large print stamp one "line" print stamp
    jar
    blade
    paintbrush
    scotch tape
    varnish
    Jewelry cord, wire and findings
    Well, I hope I didn't forget anything

    Ooh, I really like that adaptation of sticking the clay to a glass. My left hand doesn't like holding a bent tissue blade too long. Thanks for that.

      Thank you! I suggest if you have a clear stamp for the "line" one, use that so you don't go over the previous stamp, that way the "background pattern" is more noticeable. Yes, my furbabies are fun. And definitely too spoiled. But I love them to pieces no matter what.

      It is a Lisa Pavelka one. Used to be mounted on a cube, with four stamps on four sides, I just un-mounted it. Not sure if it's still sold out there, I looked to find a link for you but couldn't find any.
      Edit: mounted on a cube. I fixed the typo.

    It's really pretty. You can't distinguish the image of the first stamp below the top stamp from the image in the video but I suppose from up close it looks different.

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well yes but also I didn't pay enough attention to position the second stamp better. To be honest, this should work the best with a transparent stamp or texture but I don't have any suitable.

      Like the project! Camera is to far away!

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was taped at a time when I wasn't feeling too good, and I was afraid that if I'd get too close I might get out off the camera view too often - I'm known to do that when I'm all caught up in what I'm doing, because I can't see both near and far, so if I take my glasses off to see up close, I can't see what's going on the monitor. Hopefully sometime in the future they'll figure out some type of glasses or contacts for me that work for both.

    Coucou Day , absolument splendide c'est le genre de bijoux que je préfère j'adoreeeeeeeeee , juste une petite question concernant l'attache en polymère que tu as fait derrière pourquoi est telle si grosse? .Mille merci et mille bravo
    Gros bisous à toi et tes petits chouchous adorés

      Parce que ce type de bijou est ce qu'on appelle "bolo tie" et doit avoir des cordes assez grosses et aussi parce it doit etre capable de fournir une base solide pour le front qui est tres bombe.

    Where is the best place to buy deep imprint stamps?

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly your best bet if you have issues not being able to get the stamp/texture deep enough, I'd suggest you get Helen Breil's textures. They can be run through the pasta machine with the clay, and you get beautiful imprints. Same goes for Makins textures as well as the long red rubber ones.Another good bet is to use embossing folders (I've shown how to use those in my last live on Sunday Feb 10th). I get my textures from Polyclayplay polyclayplay.com/shop/molds-stamps-silkscreens-and-more/stamps-and-textures/?aff=2

    Oh wish it was voice as it’s hard to read and it and watch keeping up

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, as I explained in my last "monthly chat" I am increasingly forced to do subtitled videos instead of narrated ones, due to the scam ghost "music companies" who keep filing fake copyright claims on videos. When they do that, I have to file a dispute, then I have to take the video down so they wouldn't get ads revenue for my videos, until the whole thing is settled. If I have subtitles, I can replace the audio and still keep the video up. If it's voice over music, I can't.
      Also, it's easier for me to do subtitles, as I can stop when I start hurting from sitting in the chair. Doing narration means that for the whole duration of the narration I have to sit and not move much, and it's more editing time.

    Hi! Good Idea, but the inside is too bulky, I think.

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials
      @KalyanaDesignTutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought so too, but it actually makes the pendant sit straight flat so now I'm not so sure I made it too big. I said in the video that the reason why I made it that big was because I was afraid the leather straps won't fit.

    Beautiful work - as usual. But...would rather hear your voice instead of the typewritten words. I find it very distracting trying to watch what you're doing and then jumping over to read what you wrote. Just my simple hang-up. Still love all your work though!

    • @KalyanaDesignTutorials

      Thank you! My first 100 videos or so were all with captions. Now it depends if my "clenching jaw" syndrome makes my jaw hurt enough to talk or not, that determines if the video will have narration or captions.
