- THIS happens when a REGEN Ebike hits 0% (Engine Pro Range Test 2)
We're still on the Engwe Engine Pro completing the Range Test we started in the last video:
• Engwe Engine Pro SPORT...
The Range test has been done using Sport mode level 5 with full throttle for most of the journey.
The Engwe Engine Pro has Regen meaning it can recharge the battery when being pedalled or when going down a hill. But does it actually work? Let's find out?
We also take it through a flooded underpass. Hopefully it's as water resistant as they say!

The percentage varies because 100 and 0 are set at a high and low voltage. Under load the voltage will sag so it might drop below the low level and will say 0.
If you were getting a voltage readout instead of a percentage you'd see it fluctuate
That's excellent video to show advantage of regen. Watched loads. But 1st one that shows its worthwhile
I use a halfords 1600 lumens lamp.Lights up the road like a car's headlamp. The engine pro is great fun to ride.
Awesome. May have to purchase as a main beam 😂
Hi, can you do a review on your accessories? I recently got my Ebike and loving it! but not sure on what lock to buy? and how to stall them while riding the etc etc.
I'm not too keen on the design of the engine pro, but what other bikes of this type have regen
Just add an aftermarket light and suspension post with a good seat like all ebikers do👍
How much regen would you get going down hill for 2 miles on a 6% grade hill?
I think for Christmas i will order this bike, and the ado20f+ goes to a friend of my to use on the camping place he stays.👍😎
You are an awesome friend!!!
Thanks
How does the regen actually work? Is it anytime you freewheel, going down hills, do you have to be cycling at a certain speed ?
Its just always regen but its only regenereting when in mode 0 mode 0 has no paddle assist so you cant regen & paddle assist
@@ok-px6zm yeah I figured it out. It works in mode 1 as well with some assistance. I've some steep hills where I live so it comes in handy. Helps balance things out a bit.
This is a serious contender for me. Is it heavy to manoeuvre around and at only 5.3” would u think my height would be ok. Other bike I’m considering is a step through with a 21ah battery.
Good question. I wouldn't want to have to lift and carry it much but rolling it around is easy and weight doesn't come into play when riding since it's powered. I'm 5'9 and have the seat up a bit so 5'3 with the seat down could be fine. If I find someone that height who could try it though I'll let you know.
@@e-VRC thanks would be much appreciated. I do ride a motorbike so think height would be ok if not will have to hop on and off seat when stopping , not that i intend on doing that much 😆.
@@mariasnell6868 Tested in a 5'2.5 person who said they'd be ok to ride it 👍
@@alvrc3089 great thanks for your help. This now gives me a quandary 😆.
Bro how fast will it go power mode on 40 degree uphill? Also how long will ride on pure power mode with no pedal assist?
We talking 100% battery? Check out the hill test video for how it goes up a hill. It's steep but no 40 degree. 40 degree hill is REALLY steep. I doubt it would get up a 40 degree with no help or run up.
check Jeremiah Mcintosh uphill tests. The Vitilan bikes are quite good climbing steep hills. Engwe are the worst for that.
That's a great bike. On mine, once it gets to zero it's over. I have to get off and push it back home.
Remind me which one you have?
@@e-VRC Ado A20F. It happened to me once and I had to push it for a few miles. Still a brilliant purchase but I just have to be careful as the battery level seems to drop quicker the lower it is.
@@dtz1000 yeah it definitely does. On the way back from that bike ride the ado really struggled. So too hard to pedal on zero power then?
@@e-VRC I couldn't pedal it on zero power for more than half a minute before becoming totally exhausted. It showed me just how much power these things have.
@@dtz1000 i know what you mean. Even my light ekute wayfarer is a struggle on power 0.
On my bike same bike i also reached 0% but i hit another 5km until the bike was only going 5km/h it was on 0% for 5km
Have you looked up cooler king ebikes?
Looking?
@@e-VRC have you seen them? Cool ebikes.
@@GarrattHamster my channel is too small to get cool ones ☹️
Contemplating getting a folding E Bike. Probably Samebike LO26 or Lankeleise . Very interested to know if going through those puddles made any permanent damage to the bike.
Great video
Thanks! It seems to be riding fine still 🤞
Chilli technology is a good place for lights and camera's.
Thanks!
@@e-VRC No worries, very bright lights. Just brought a engine pro, gotta say it's really good well pleased with it. Your review helped my decision.
I thought Engwe dropped the regen for Europe I have a brand new engine pro and it doesnt have it
I did notice they don't seem to mention it on their site now. Have you taken it down to 0% Mine has a bar on the screen that seems to go from grey to white depending on whether energy is going in or out
I'll email them to ask 👍
@@e-VRC thanks
⚡ *What type of 0% sorcery is this?* 😂⚡
Ikr!!! Felt like I could have gone forever.
On ep2 I did 31 miles and most of the time ony on lazy mode hehe , I buy second battery for more miles , next plan is upgrading motor to hmm 1500w
Maybe
Haha go for it. 750 on the front 👍
What I win? Or that is fake message?
@@grzegorzbialy9193 fake
@@e-VRC Better luck next time hehe
if you did that distance with a 13 amp battery it means that the motor is only 500 watts with 750 watts peak.
i have a ep2 pro, my next machine will be the engine pro. saw the new bike x24 or something, looks interesting, but very disappointed , all same things as engine pro, just more amph and another small battery. but cost 3k dollars, i rather get the engine pro for 1500.
Agreed. It looks cool but stats are a bit underwhelming. Yet to test it though so I could be wrong.
go for the Deepower H20 pro. That one cost 1100 dollars and has 1000 watts with 17.5 amperes battery.
Torture testing an EBike!
I want to get one but its small matter of the law, are you left alone by the police in the UK as they are illegal.
I've ridden my illegal fat tyre ebike for a year and over 2k miles in Central London, Cambridge and Surrey and I haven't been stopped once.
@@MA-jz4yc just took delivery of mine yesterday. 😁
Enjoy it! Unlike escooters, ebikes are legal. So even if someone is riding one with too much power they only stick out if they're riding dangerously fast in public.
