- This video features Cargo only movements at San Juan Airport in Puerto Rico, during the filming one of the runways was inactive due to works in daylight hours meaning you get to see single runway ops making it seems busier than usual!
This is combined highlights of all of the filming I did in San Juan to show the extensive cargo movements in and out of the Island
Filmed freehand using a Sony AX-53 Camcorder
To reach this location it’s around a 10-15 minute walk from the airport terminal, it’s a bar that has a rooftop terrace giving you an unobstructed view of the taxiway and runway

Great catches mate 👏
Magnificent!
Nice cargo video )))
Sending you my compliments on your excellent videography, and good fortune in finding such an ideal spotting location; so many of the plane spotting videos being posted nowadays are shot by people with no camera "finesse" - Consequently there's a lot of shaky camera, spinning the camera when the lens is at full zoom, etc. going on. None of that here, to my relief - so I'll be watching your good work from now on.
The MD-11 is also one of my favorites. It's incredibly unfortunate that it's out of commercial passenger service. I always marveled at it's uniqueness being a tri-engine aircraft. And i still feel it would have a viable place in today's market. Competing against the 787 and A330's. The same could be said for the DC-10 & L10-11. I understand financial costs in terms of operating a jet with more engines. I think this is why we are moving away from 4 engine aircraft into 2 engine only. But these tri-engines still have a place in my humble opinion.
That's one of the best airports I've seen for being able to get a good view and variety of traffic. Is there a nighttime curfew 😴 or is it 24 hour operation? There's a lot of hotels or apartments 🏨 very close by.
Pretty sure it’s 24 hours. There’s a car park over the back you can see the runway from too when the place I was filming from closes for the evening
Tbh idk which one to choose General Electric md11 or pratt Whitney md11 its like the 747 with three engines idk which one too choose
