Jat is not a caste but a ethnic group or community in Indian subcontinent. This community has actually been formed over time by people from nine geographical regions of the world.
Genetic studies have shown that 90% of Jat men are L, R, Q and J with Y-chromosome DNA heplogruops, who probably migrated to India from 2000 to 2500 BC and settled in India and called JARIT Aryan.
Jarit Aryans were originally cattle farmers and developed a rural civilization in India. They composed the Rigveda etc. the four vedas. Hence, they should be the originators and followers of vedic religion and culture. They were kshatriyas and warriors. Due to these equalities, they esteblished the Aryan states, the federation of states was called Aryavarta. The Jarit Aryan fought the famous bettles of Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The remaining about 10% of Jat men are of E, G, H, I and T heplogruops of Y-chromosome DNA. All these came from time to time through immigration from different fine geographical regions of the world and some of them joined the ancesant vedic Jarit Aryan and some came to join the Jat community around the year AD.
Thus, the Jat community of Indian subcontinent became a group of nine breeds of the world.
Genetic research has also made it clearthat compared to other indian ethnic groups, there has been very little or negligible among Jats, yet 9.5% of non-aryan castes have been included in Jats.

jarit or yarit (ja and ya sounds are interchangeable)-ya of ya:van. Their connection can be found in germany & norway has a place, called Jutland.
But how will you differentiate between Arhat/aratt and jats. They are also called Akkhad- can you call them Akkadians. After flood migration happened in all directions in new found lands. How to differentiate this group from Mahabharata's Bhartus. Which was known be region bound between dhrusdavati & euphrates/tigris rivers? is there a relation between Matsyan(Macedonian) and this group of people?

I was alwsys interested in knowing racial backround of Jats who form a major community in North India , especially Haryana , West UP and Rajasthan
I have observed in interior Haryana that there are many jats whose physical built , height structure of head and forehead , face is similar to Germans .
As we all know it is commonly said Jat boys are very good looking and have a good feature

In Panjab , Gill , Sandhu , Bains , Sidhu , Badhan , Bhatti and many other gotras are common in jats and lower cast communities .
