Thank you! Learned something new today, and learned what sll these strange looking tools I've inherited, are used for.

No problem! I'm very excited to keep making videos. There is more on the way.

Excellent tutorial. Clear. Simple, and to the point.

You mentioned a depth stop and I never even knew how to do that, so I learned two things today. (I'm new to this stuff) Thank you!

I flinched when you brought the tool in contact with work without the spindle running... felt it in the back of my knees.
-Bring the quill down and lock it against the stop with the end of tool in open space.
-Start the spindle, bring the knee up to touch off, zero the Z.
    -Raise the quill.
-Bring the knee up the desired depth of the cbore.
-Bring the quill down, cutting to the stop.

      No not at all,
Align your pilot with the hole start the machine turn the coolant on put one leg up to signify a real tool and die maker and you may start

I suppose this is a good start. But you are missing a whole bunch on the size of the counterbores. as in the diameter of drilled hole, does your Cbore pilot match the hole diameter? There are different clearances for the bolt head, so there is different size cbore diameters. speeds and feeds calculations and more

Set the quill stop so you don’t have to move the knee to check depth

What about the tap? Do you tap after drill pilot hole or after CB? Thanks

the part with the counterbored hole will not also have threads. The threads will be in the parts that the counterbored part is fastened to.
