Tim was decades ahead of his tmie wanting to be a couple with Hawk. This tale needed to be told so that we remember what we suffered through because of society's oppression of gay people. And how many of us stood over panels of the Quilt dedicated to people we loved?
As a straight person who has never really been bothered by others sexual preferences, I watched this series out of curiosity. I feel so much more educated now. I realized that I always viewed it through the lens of pure sex. This is such a beautiful love story. What I feel most educated about, though, is the history. I binge watched the entire series twice, and cried both times. The Emmy awards this series won are well deserved. I am so glad I watched it. Everyone should watch it. Love is love. Period. And God loves us all, unconditionally. And this video is a perfect summary.
A whole video of them and their love story 😍❤️💗 Thank you for this. I have watched the full series and can say that my heart was stolen and broken from watching them from their first meeting; Tim wanted a glass of milk 🥛 Hawk gave him that plenty of times to hook ups and having a relationship where Tim’s heart beat with all his love for Hawk and Hawk in his own way conveyed love through his gifts to Tim and taking him places just for them etc. yet his heart was so hardened that only part of it belonged to Tim. And despite him eventually ending it with him, marrying Lucy for his own safety and survival, he always found Tim a.k.a. Skippy and went back to him or brought him back into his life. He needed Tim otherwise he’d have never woken up to remain with reality and tried to stand by the choices he made - Jackson 😢💔 He owed Tim *EVERYTHING* especially after he ratted him out and that’s why he kept trying to help and go back to him. But if he was truly sorry as he said to Tim when he exposed him, he would have let him live his life and never would have kept getting involved with him. That would have been the greatest gift he could have given him. As for Tim, he continued to be there for Hawk, let him in, help him and his family - he was there for Jackson; Jackson trusted him. In the end, Tim still protected Hawk and confessed his true love for him which never broke and went away no matter what. He deserved the world and so much better 💔😢 But in the end, Hawk finally said that he was (always) *the man he LOVED* 🥹❤️
This movie has such a Thornbirds vibe to it. Hawk is like Father Ralph DiBricissart torn between his love for the Church and his love for Meggie. Meggie on the other hand marries Luke O'Neil who epitomized the saying "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." They divorced of course, and Meggie spent the rest of her life alone because she could only love one man and that was Ralph and they both paid such a high price for not being able to have what they both wanted which was each other.
If Hawk was as confident as he was in public and private, Skippy and him could have had a storybook romance
Not him. He could have had a storybook romance. He and Skippy could have..... But you are totall right.
This is too painful to watch because i know how it ends😢...always ends with tears.Fuck love.
Fuck untraditional or unorthodox love! What ever that can be!

Another beautiful song would be "When I Saw You" by The Ronettes.
