Constant horn sounds but people are great…I’m from 🇹🇭 Just came back from my wife’s Manila Taguig city PH for X-mas/NY w/family. what you see here is real life in metro Manila public places (it has not changed since 1995 when I met my beautiful wife)..of course not BGC etc..lots of local people and vendors still occupy even the bridge walk-way (BKK footpath used to be that way-but not on bridge walk-way..it is kept cleared now for pedestrians) just difference flavor, not good nor bad in every society. Manila LRT operated since 1984 but MRT-3 in 1999 (same year as BKK BTS) some stations w/ yellow pillars look like pre-WWII. No glass wall/door & it looks run-down. 😊Hope they are improved soon for common people.
Yes train services here are improving the government is building 2 new train lines which is the metro manila subway supposedly operational by (2029) and the Mrt 7 supposedly operational by (2027) and the government is also upgrading the Lrt lines adding new trains and 8 new stations 5 new stations are suppose to start operating this year by i think november or december and the other 3 stations is operational by 2027.
Sana pre-recorded nalang mga announcements tulad sa ibang bansa para mas malinaw, nauulit lang naman per station para mas maayos pakinggan. Di kasi kapleasing 'pag nakamic on-the-spot parang basag tunog ng announcer.

Designed for the rush hours in the morning and the evening, Taft avenue station connects to the LRT 1 As well making it one of the more congested stations during rush hours
Sorry for the late reply, 1:14 timestamp is meant for passengers that will going to buy Single Journey tickets, you may also buy/reload Stored Value Tickets here, but you will be in a longer queue. 1:52 Timestamp is meant for passengers with Stored Value tickets only, though sometimes they sell Single Journey tickets here for the elderly and PWDs.
MRT-3 is our best train system here in PH. Watch out for my PNR upload and tell me which is primitive hehe. But yeah, I hope our train systems do level up.

Metro Manila has many modern buildings, but its train and buses remain very old and unsafe. Its like a forgotten urban aspect.
