I know this is 3 months ago but seems kinda right and wrong at the same time, Its just software and more than likely the original studio recording. If not the I have no clue
@@matthewcoffy1385 Obviously it's remastered, but even with modern equipment there's only so much you can do to improve the sound of old recordings, and in terms of live recordings there are some truly stunning sounding live albums within the blues and jazz. For rock the live sound usually gets very muddy, and even this sounds good only relatively speaking. With that said it definitely isn't the original recording. Bootlegs of the Montreaux show exist and they match up with the instrument work here, and, most obviously, Ozzy's lyrics and vocals are entirely different from the album version.
it was recorded from the soundboard clearly. a technology that has been around and practiced before and since this recording of course. it was then remastered, EQ’ed and all that in post production from the master tapes once they released this on CD. the original soundboard recording was probably clear enough but very muddy and each instrument likely didn’t cut through in the mix as much as they do here. this sounds the way it does thanks to a mix (no pun intended) of modern mastering techniques and the soundboard recording from 1970
@@sawtrapstunnaaa this is a live version meaning they more than likely never recorded this version onto anything untill the, the peel session on vinyl released
You enjoyed the concert from Vol 4 Super Deluxe, so I decided to upload something from the Paronoid Super Deluxe release. I can add more songs from this concert if you want.
I enjoyed the vol4 super deluxe very much, I would greatly appreciate it if you posted more from paranoid super deluxe or other albums you have. These are some of the best quality on TH-cam.
I bought "Paranoid" when I was 9 years old, it was the first record I bought with my own money. I just turned 56 years young a couple of days ago! We didn't have computers and cell phones back then, so there was a lot of misinformation floating around. I remember stumbling across "Walpurgis" years ago and wanted to point out its existence. The versions I find these days are basically "War Pigs," with the original ("Walpurgis") lyrics, but I can swear, just not prove, that the original music, although being true to what would become "War Pigs," was just a scoach more raw, if in fact a lot more raw, although still the same song. Maybe I'm hallucinating, but there has to be someone out there that knows what I'm talking about!(???) Does anybody have a truly raw version of the original song that they can upload?
This must of been a transitional period between the lyrics of Walpurgis and War Pigs, interesting. Here's my transcription: Witches gathered in their masses Bodies burning in red ashes On the hill the church in ruins Is the scene of evil doings It's a place for all bad sinners Watch them eating dead rat's innards It's the same where you go To black masses people go Oh, Lord yeah! I don't care if you don't want to go Hey, you're the devil in disguise Carrying banners which denounce the Lord Hey, your name is Lucifer, not mine See, they go and they anoint the head with blood See their running all around Can't you see they got a lie of death Say, what you gonna do right now? On the scene a priest appears Sinners falling at his knees Satan sends out funeral pyre Cast the priest into the fire It's the place for all bad sinners Watch them eating dead rat's innards It's the same where you go To black masses, people go Oh, Lord yeah!
This should be the offical version of the song, i dig these original lyrics way more.
The Jesus freaks would have had a real shit fit!
That rats innerts line is so dark
An Absolute Fantastic Track. Great Music And Great Vocalls. Them Were The Days.
The sound quality is scarily clear for a live recording made in 1970. Must've involved witchcraft

Hell yeah
Yeah. Would love to hear more material from this gig. Early lyrics. This is awesome. Thanks for uploading this.
God bless u
Wow this version/mix is incredible. I've heard other Montreux recordings of this show, but not this good.
I've preferred the Walpurgis version ever since hearing the Return to 1969 bootleg. Damn, now I have to buy Paranoid Super Deluxe!
This has great quality. Thank you for posting, friend.
Oh hell yeah, these are *new* lyrics.
The OG lyrics before it was changed to an anti-Vietnam/War in general song

I searched that track long time
And finally I found it
Thank you
This must of been a transitional period between the lyrics of Walpurgis and War Pigs, interesting. Here's my transcription:
Witches gathered in their masses
Bodies burning in red ashes
On the hill the church in ruins
Is the scene of evil doings
It's a place for all bad sinners
Watch them eating dead rat's innards
It's the same where you go
To black masses people go
Oh, Lord yeah!
I don't care if you don't want to go
Hey, you're the devil in disguise
Carrying banners which denounce the Lord
Hey, your name is Lucifer, not mine
See, they go and they anoint the head with blood
See their running all around
Can't you see they got a lie of death
Say, what you gonna do right now?
On the scene a priest appears
Sinners falling at his knees
Satan sends out funeral pyre
Cast the priest into the fire
It's the place for all bad sinners
Watch them eating dead rat's innards
It's the same where you go
To black masses, people go
Oh, Lord yeah!
Really cool early lyrics. I enjoy both version of the song on pretty equal merits.
Second verse its not "hey your name is lucifer not mine" its "Waiting for lucifer almighty"
This is pure gold🇧🇴🤘🏼
The Black magic version
Written by Gezzer, base player. I'm guessing new lyrics.
I like Bills drum fills in this track more than the studio version what do you think P S ?
its okay to cry to black sabbath right?
Best version of the song. Way more creepier
Can you post something from the Brussels concert? Is it the same concert as the videos labeled "Live in Paris" or no?
We've seen it a million times.. Sabbath has performed live many times in early 70s
