    Vision: "If you do this they will never stop being afraid of you."
    Wanda: "I can't control their fear, only my own."
    Wow she's really similar to her character.

    I think she makes a great point about how the casting people WANT you to do a good job. Even though i'm not an actor and have never been to an audition, i use that same thought process when i have to do a presentation for school or for work, … A lot of people get so nervous about when they have to stand in front of a group, but you have to think about how everyone in the audience WANTS you to succeed and they want to see you perform and perform well. Honestly, ever since i changed my thoughts from, i don't want to talk, PLEASE DON'T LOOK AT ME, to Oh, people ACTUALLY want to hear what i have to say and want me to do well, it has changed my presentation skills and my attitude towards having to do a presentation tremendously.

      Not an actor but its a great life lesson when going for interviews.
      If you give the best version of yourself and you are still unsuccessful then don't worry. You are not bad otherwise they won't have wanted to see you. It is just that in some cases your not the right fit.

    I start working on my monologue for auditions months in advance. People think I’m crazy, but I just want to have a higher chance of getting casted in our shows. So I can work on my monologue and take things out I don’t like. It also makes me not go into scramble mode like most actors. My monologue has changed drastically compared to 2 months ago.

  • @ZachsMind

    Oh wow. I get it. When they first cast her as Wanda Maximoff I was like okay they're not even gonna try to get her accurate for the comics. They're gonna go in a whole different direction and I'll never see the wild control freak in that crazy outfit but making it work cuz she's THAT in control of the reality around her. However, they captured her personality with this casting, because Wanda IS a control freak from day one I mean she is all about controlling the moment she always has been you go back and read the books that's all the stories that focus on her. She's either in control or she's spiraling out of control or she's forcing reality to submit to her will or she can't grasp what's going on it's all about control for Wanda and to find an actress who understands that and has wrestled with it in her own life and then mastered it, THAT is a talent who can show you a woman in control and out of control and then spin that on a dime. You need a face that can be completely out of control in one shot and then in the same shot, show the lights going on in the eyes and the smile curl up on the lips. Otherwise you have to trick the audience in the edit. She can give that in real time with the lights on her and everything riding on that face, cuz she's been auditioning for this yes her entire life.

    • @airwaters
      @airwaters 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Tbh, I don't really care about "exact look" casting. I'm all about the acting ability. Elizabeth's live action portrayal is a blessing to the MCU. If I have to guess, MMMM earned her the Wanda role. Her acting in her indie films are great. With Wanda's unhinged tendencies, and like what you said "control" issues, Elizabeth delivers so well. AoU served her villainess side, Civil War for her good side, Infinity War for pain, Endgame for anger, and WandaVision like... (don't get me started with this show) her performance in WV is literally what acting range means. I'm glad Wanda Maximoff is given to an actress that has an incredible acting range to give justice to the tragic life of her story. Elizabeth is born for the role.

    You can't control everything that happens to you,, around you, control what you can in your vicinity, focus on that & not what you can't control. The truth is that you can't make everyone everyone happy. If you focus too much on making others happy, then it would set the bar high for you and that would likely make you fail. Everyone is going to judge you in some capacity. You have to be comfortable with your own skin and what you do when you perform.
    This was a informative and educational video. Kudos to Elizabeth Olsen!

    People, especially those who have to come up against a panel of some sorts like actors or writers and publishers, have to realise that people want you to do well.. nothing is more entertaining than a good audition and it fuels them with confidence to see you be passionate about what they’re going to put together and share with other people. It’s a good and wholesome mindset that doesn’t fuel your ego, only your confidence. They want you to succeed because if people were horrible before or horrible after, you may just be their saving grace and entertain them. Memory is what I believe people have, panels, directors, publishers, etc. because if you don’t get it, your confidence and self worth reminds them of you.

    Could be wrong, but this enthusiastic fixation with auditioning stems from a much earlier stage in her life. Maybe the bare naked experience of putting one's talent to the test enabled her subconsciously to prove her worth not just to others but most of all to herself. She must have felt the terrible weight of living in the shadow of her ridiculously famous sisters and every time the opportunity presents itself to carve her own separate, autonomous path must feel like a breath of fresh air and empowerment. If someone feels like he or she is awarded second place by default in life from a very young age, it is without a doubt frustrating. Good for her.
