Boy she sure does make Jeff glow like a teenager. Look at the new videos of him fixing up the river camp for here. The little 300 gallon fish pond the new fancy deck. Yep would not one bit of that been done if not for her. Jeff your peacocking a little bit and fixin up the nest for your female. It’s sweet. He jokingly grumbles about how much it costs but you know darn good and well he does it without a care in the world to make Paige happy. Make it more inviting for a female to want to stay. A lot of men could learn from you Jeff baron. Trick and tips on how to keep your woman happy. lol. Yall make my day!!! Love the videos. Keep them coming
Oh this is stinkin cute. She is one of the best things to happen to you in a long time and I hope she is here for the long haul. Its a whole different video everytime shes with you. You are way more relaxed. I may have to make and try out that dip she made though.
When I was younger growing up in Florida we went rattlesnake hunting every summer . Fried , smoked and barbecued it was delicious . Taste like chicken 🤤 .
I lived in a small town in Alabama. It was called 0pp Alabama. Every year they have a rattlesnake rodeo. I love rattlesnake and looking at all the crafts.
When I was younger I spent a lot of time in the mountains of central Idaho. I ate a few rattlesnakes. And I must say it never did much for me. It just tastes like what ever you coated it in.
I've cooked and eaten just about every critter from the woods, lakes and rivers but I have to draw the line at roadkill rattler unless I killed it myself on the road. That did look good but we usually have crappy and catfish with red beans and taters to go with it. Love your channel
Taking the time to learn how to clean and cook rattlesnake is both brave and adventurous! Your commitment to understanding the process demonstrates your curiosity and willingness to explore new culinary experiences. Keep up the adventurous spirit!
I've got timber rattlers (cane break rattlers other places I hear) on my place in northeast Texas. They come in and out of being a protected species here 'cause it's close to the edge of their range. I have one on my place named "Sergeant Major" because I'd never seen so many chevrons.🤠
Dude.... I'm loving your channel. I think we might actually be kinda like neighbors. When I was younger, I played in a country/rock band... we used to play at the "rattlesnake rodeo" (here in our little corner of south Alabama) every year. I'm kinda like Grandpa though... I ain't eating no frikkin snake.
Looks tasty. We've had rattlesnake jerky in New Mexico. It was good. I understand they now have recipes for python meat in Florida including python jerky.🎉
I've been dealing with snakeskin for a couple of years. Living in GA near the oconee river, rattlesnake is readily available. I have a bunch of skins hanging up. Tip from a leather maker, don't tan using the 50/50 alcohol/glycerin mix, the glue has tough time sticking. It's better to use borax or salt. People look at me weird when I tell them I eat snake lol. That look great though, nit sure about the maple syrup though lol. Keep it up!
Thank you both for the video and snake is good especially when it's fried also good choice on a seasoning Old Bay, pepper, cayenne, smoked paprika, onion and garlic powders works in a pinch as well. I think it's a funny stereotype that Canadians always will put maple syrup on a lot of things 🤣🤣🤣
Hello:) she thought it would be fishy lol how sweet:) it does kinda look fish in the bowl , I understand:) awesome video! :) thanks for sharing w/ us :) you too are amazing! :)
Climatized LOL. If your from Canada you probably never will get to climatized. I've lived in North Carolina all my life am I halfway hibernate in July and August. If I'm going out it's going to be on my bike. I've never been to Alabama but I imagine it gets pretty smoldering hot. It's a lot hotter at the beach then where I live. The only place that's cool in the summer is the Blue Ridge Parkway.
snake skin on archery bows, need lots more for boots, snake leather belts? purse? etc... if it was much bigger like boa constrictor size, maybe archery back quiver?
When in the marines we caught and cooked a rattler over a fire. it was pretty good, but woulda been better had we not used dried creosote wood for the fire and green creosote for the forked sticks. Still better than the C rations.
How did you condition the snake skin Jeff? WD40 seems to work well,or any very light oil to keep the skin from drying out…that rattler skin would make great hat bands,or if wide enough a great pair of boots…and most folks think it tastes just like fried chicken!! Enjoy!
I can never forget this! worked with a man 30 years ago he got bit in the muscle he had arms big as a house he turned 50 different colors he got his knife out and his lighter sterilized the knife slit them marks got the poison out took his hanky tied it up by this time that arm was swelled all up he looked at us and said this is going to hurt them stretched his arm straight out let out a big warhoop and continued his work never went to doctor or nobody else I talked to him last week about the day he got bit he said oh! that's happened more than once 75 years of age and never ever got checked out from that bite! on one of Hannah's videos she found one and said she took it to her grandfather he eats anything I believe that was her exact words. Jeff, Paige, you two enjoy your meal and thanks for the video! Paige, how about a video thank you!💪👀👍✌️
Last I ate rattler, it was indirect heat on Hickory and mesquite. IF YOU EVER HAD SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX REDFISH BLACKED… your mighty close to smoked rattle snake
The old cajun cook Justin Willson, told the story about two Cray fish crossing the pasture. A large bull came by and sniffed them and the little Crayfish yelled let's run! The older one advised that the big bull wouldn't eat us. Then they saw a Cajun and the older one told the smaller Crayfish RUN!! That's a Cajun, he'll eat any damn thing!!! So, you must be Cajin?! I'm like yer grandpa, I hate snakes too.

Paige comes around and Jeff forgets how to talk.😂😂😂

You both really compliment each other !

Her giggling about snake candles made my day
Roll Tide!

Jeff i dont believe her. She will dip her fork in maple syrup when you're not looking. 😂

Preciate y'all. That rattler sure did look good all fried up. Paige is going to have to show what she made with that beautiful hide.
Looks delicious been 30+ years since I had rattlesnake
Well if it's been 30 years,it must not be that good! 🤷♂️
I've had diamond back rattler. It reminded me of frog legs more than chicken.
Glad to see y'all doing well and posting more.
🤠👍
But frog legs taste like chicken
@@martinehrlich3908 I've never thought so.
Absolutely does not taste like frog legs, sincerely a Cajun!
Great video glad to see Paige keep the video coming please
That would make a killer guitar strap!!
How you know when it’s done is experience and wisdom.
Adorable woman!!
Good man!!
Y'all are too cute! I'm happy for you both!!
Jeff do you have a cook book yet??
Paige!!! Welcome back
Have you ever been to the Rattlesnake festival down your way? Looks great! That skin will make a great belt! Have a good one!!
That snake looks so good! 😂🎉🎉🎉
welcome back Paige!
Never had it.. but heck I’d reckon I would try it!
entertaining video as always -- great content and as real as it gets -- cheers from Canada!

I’ve eaten rattlesnake once, my aunty put some on the thanksgiving day table and never told anyone what it was until later that night 😂
Try putting a little cornstarch in your flour mix it will make it twice as crunchy
I’ve always wanted to try this
Hello:) she thought it would be fishy lol how sweet:) it does kinda look fish in the bowl , I understand:) awesome video! :) thanks for sharing w/ us :) you too are amazing! :)
Hey,it only hit 96F here today, heat index in town was 101 just bwfore the rain came in and dropped it down to mid 70s and cool...
Did they clean it tho? 😮
Jeff was that the same snake that was in front of your house or a different one?

been cooking rattlers for years! great vid, and hello from South Dakota!!
Stop lieing, video or it didn't happen
Wow she is very pretty Tom from Texas.
Jazz he put that back on his plate. You make her eat it. She started it LOL and I'm telling little frog 🐸🐸
You’re a lucky man Jeff 🔥
Wonder if fried rattle snake and waffles would be like chicken and waffles 🤔, might be worth a try. Then the maple syrup would fit right in.
I know a lot of Cajuns that won’t eat a dang snake, but they will eat just about anything else
Dat’s right! Ayeeee!! 😂
Sincerely a Cajun!
A good friend of mine born in Houma likes beaver tail. Skinned then pounded/tenderized like a minute steak, seasoned & fried.
Did you get that rattler right in your yard? I'd have hip waiters on just to go out to the mailbox.
Good for the both of you. It will all fall in line. 👍👍 I will try the resp.
Great work guys 👌
Great video and it really does remind you of chicken.
Still use eggs but if you add the seasoning to the flour instead of the eggs it mixes better and evenly.
Thanks, I'm hungry now XD That looked friggin delicious!
The ol Opp rattlesnake rodeo. They are moving like crazy over here in the southeast corner.
I never had a rattlesnake. There's tons of rattlesnakes where I lived in Arizona
The movie ELF maple syrup 🍁on everything comes to mind 😊
I have had rattlesnake three times pretty good, I would try dipping it in maple syrup.
Jeff looks like an expert at frog gigging You can have fun times taking someone snipe hunting while you sit around and barbecue
Snipe actually exist believe it or not.
@@robertfandel9442 you don’t say?

Only if I was starving..otherwise aint no way....but total respect for y'all
Not even then. There's plenty of grass and tree bark.

Now all you need is some okra in dat skillet Jeff! Nothing better with chicken than okra! 😅
Maybe some maple syrup 😂
Frog legs they quit moving. They're done LOL say hello. Did a little frog 🐸
That skin would make a good steering wheel cover!
😂
Come on up to Northeast Mississippi near Tupelo, Ms. We will have a Old-Time UP HERE!!!
Awesome video
Rattlesnake is one of my favorites 😋😋
Well… did your neck and back heal up good… or are you holding together with Duct Take n Glue
Was that the snake that Merl found on the driveway the other day? Lol
@marvelfanalliance7725
That's exactly what i was thinking! My bet is it is the same one!👍
Hey Bro where's the rocket stove I watched you build it and I built one too but I haven't seen you cook on the rocket?🤔🤠
I've never eaten snake before, but it looks delicious so I'm gonna have to try some.
I do believe we are close by each other. There is a Rattlesnake Rodeo to the south of me.
Do you debone it? If so how? Thanks
Looks like they just eat the meat off the bones.
I kinda want to try some with maple syrup.
Is that the same snake Hannah found while walking the dogs?
No, that one had a big mouthfulla squirrel.
Looks amazing. Snakes ok too
Did you ever get those shudders stained and put up on Hannah's house?
Man, this looks delicious!

Yea to make it taste good, cause it dont!
Awesome, Jeff and Paige and don’t tell me it taste like chicken either hell of a good video .
It actually does just stringy.
She put that piece down real quick?

It looks like Paige didn’t really like fried rattlesnake
Because it's tough and not good!
Hahaha back legs!!! Love to try some rattle chicken! 👍😃😆
