My grandma used to make cobbler with pie dough. She had a patch of wild rhubarb and gooseberries near the house and when I was a little boy I'd pick em so she could make cobblers. I don't know if y'all have gooseberries in your neck of the woods but they are super sour. We used to have a contest to see who could eat the most gooseberries without making a face. Grandma always won. Nothing quite like a bowl of fresh out of the oven cobbler and homemade ice cream. Thanks for sharing.

OMG, blackberry cobbler is my all time favorite food! I have my Great Grandma's recipe that she used to make for us all the time, and it is the same as the one that you made. We put milk over it along with a little bit of extra sugar, it is amazing that way. Now with peach or apple cobbler we always put vanilla ice cream on them. Keep up the good work on your channel, definitely more recipes!

Once a person learns to cook in it and take care of it they will throw away all the space age stuff. I still remember the days of Mama's Black Berry Cobbler with real cows butter from our own cows. Butter was our substitute for Ice Cream. Ice Cream was for the wealthy. Maybe every few years we would have some homemade Ice Cream. Preciate yall too.

I come from a family born and raised in the country, especially during the depression. We couldn't afford to call people in to do things for us or to fix and build everything so we had to learn it all for ourselves! City slickers (too lazy, helpless) will never understand and they think they are the smart ones? If ever the SHTF they will all whine and starve! This virus care has proven it all the more! You and your daughter ROCK! You are the "Chuck Norris" of doing work! You'd scare him as far as work ethic and ability! You make me feel lazy in comparison, but then again I'm older? This jesus of Nazareth was not Who died for our sins and I’ll prove it
HERE is The REAL MESSIAH, Who they REALLY Crucified for the sins of man
From the Dead Sea Scrolls Exodus 3 Scroll, "Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote
      Paleo Hebrew Direct Translation
      Yad "Hand"
      He "Breath"
      Vav "Nail"
      He "Breath"
      YaH's Name:
(Ya)d + (H)e, as YaH is what Moses called Him as well all throughout the Book of Isaiah and Psalms, "this is My Name for all generations" (Exodus 3)
      YaH The Creator:
Yad He, (Hand Breath), as YaH's "Hand" Formed man from the dust of the Earth and His "Breath" made him a living being (Adam)
      YaH's Sacrifice of Crucifixion:
Vav He (Nail Breath), the "Nail" through the "Hand", that whosoever shall call YaH Savior, His Breath brings forth life (Salvation)
      How YaH arrives:
YaH arrives via the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7:11), NOT through childbirth (Isaiah 45:10)
Why they demanded YaH to be Crucified:
YaH was Crucified according to Hebrew law (Deuteronomy 21), to be Hung on an Almond Tree for BLASPHEMY, as the Messiah claimed He was YaH.
      He was YaH
      Bible verses of YaH
      Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
      Isaiah 43:11
I, I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.
      Isaiah 45:5

Peach cobbler reminds me of the Boy Scouts, made every time we went camping. But what pissed me off was I hated Peaches. Sometimes we would have a big camp and they would make several peach cobblers, Which really pissed me off. No one thought maybe someone would like something different like blueberry, apple, etc. No they would make a dozen fucking pots all peach. That's OK though I'd get my share and trade it for someones extra cocoa or something. It's a shame the Liberals and perverts ruined Boy Scouts.

When butter is sizzling pour mixture in pan then fruit in the middle. Cook till done.

Hi Jeff, I am from upstate NY. I used your cobbler recipe and made a peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It's a very quick easy recipe with few ingredients. I am not a huge fan of peaches but I wanted to try the traditional southern cobbler. OOOOh, Buddy, that is the stuff! Delicious I love it. I plan to try a blueberry or blackberry cobbler next time. Thanks for the recipe and I like your videos. Keep'em coming. Stay safe and God bless.

ok, hubby is subscribed to you, and we are watching this video right now.... im sure its going to taste great...but .... with that particular recipe..... I am thinking you melt the butter, in the pan, LEAVE IT THERE>.. then make the batter with the 1 cup of sugar... put the 1/2 cup sugar in with the berries... once the butter is melted IN THE PAN.. then you put the batter, then you put the berries with the 1/2 cup sugar... then with the 2 T left of sugar, you put that on TOP of the berries before baking... HOWEVER, is saying that...... it looks amazing!
put the sugar in the berries for about an hour before you start, it wills tart to make a juice.... you can use this base for most any fruit....

My momma always saved a little bit of the mix to the side and mixed in cold butter so it had chunks of butter in it and sprinkled it over the top before baking it made it all crispy and good mmmm mmmm good
