    Did you all spot the 10 differences in the background 😂 I like to consider this a practice of concentration 😂 Rather Ironic, that I then had my own concentration tested 😂 That is, people in the hotel windows 🪟 looking over at me, filming me and waving at me 😂 👋🏻 Also Side Note: I’ve made some tweaks to the new intro & Outro screen for the next video… since doing these ones. 😊

    Great video, as always. Only spotted 6 background changes: 1.plant moved from shelf to radiator. 2. cushion left the couch. 3. plant back up on shelf and something replaced it on the radiator (looks like a bar of chocolate ..... but then I've been intermittent fasting since 1st January, so everything looks like a bar of chocolate 😂😂😂) 4. something appeared on to of hallway mirror. 5. tablet/phone holder removed from radiator. 6. note appeared on hallway mirror.
    I shall watch again to try to find the rest, but my attention span is only 18 seconds at a time, so it may take a while 😂😂😂
    I am a full-time carer of my 90 year old mother, who won't throw anything away. "We had rationing in t'war ya know" (Yorkshire accent required as my parents were from Leeds). Gradually getting her to let things go using Swedish Death Cleaning method.
    Keep up the great work. I love your videos. They are a nice piece of calm in an overwhelming life.
    Watching from Napier, New Zealand (my parents immigrated in the 60's). You are an inspiration. ❤❤❤

      Oh wow 😂 love it -leeds leeds leeds 😂 🙌 you did well, your only missing 2 of the ten then as I obviously 🙄 pointed out the 10th. The subscribe note. And I actually realised the 9th wasn’t visible to everyone as it was slightly behind me. It was the blanket moving.🤦‍♀️ So you just have 2 to find 😂. 18 seconds 😂 😂 Yes you definitely have a Yorkshire sense of humour - from your parents? If you’ve been in New Zealand 🇳🇿 most of your life? Thank you ❤️oh and the chocolate 🍫 bar was an amethyst candle 🕯️ 😂

      @SagelifeMinimalism Yes, I did inherit the Yorkshire sense of humour-the best sense of humour in the world! I was born in NZ, but my entire family was born in Leeds, including my older brother. I think that is what initially attracted me to your videos. Even after being here 60+ years, my mum's accent is still as strong as yours. I have only been following you for a couple of months and am gradually working my way through all your past videos. It's about 6.30am on Friday morning (yes, I am in your future😱😳🤪😅), so time to get mum out of bed - no rest for the wicked. Do you have a job? How do you fill your day? Maybe you have done that video, and I just haven't seen it yet. I like watching your thought process as you declutter. I have trouble with letting go of mementos picked up from traveling and items that remind me of good times. And teddy bears. And CDs. And tarot cards. And duplicates of things (as NZ is earthquake and tsunami prone, I am constantly worried about not having backups if I lose the original). Oh God, 10 minutes later, and mother will be wetting the bed. Have a good night. Enjoyed chatting. If you are ever down this way ..... call in, have a coffee, stay. Would love to meet you, you come across as kind, funny, calm and very friendly 💖💖💖

    Great toughts😊 my parents would call me an extreme minimalist, but i dont feel like i’m there yet. Still feel like i have too much stuff.
    Good point about mental health and minimalism. Very much relate to that🌼

    I’m a maximalist and love colour and art and I barely spend money on buying stuff for space. I’m a student and work part time so I can’t afford to 😆
    I currently rent a room which contains everything I own as prior to that I lived on a narrowboat for a year and had downsized for that after splitting with my ex. I don’t have a lot of stuff but display my books and treasured trinkets along with shells, pebbles, fir cones and other nature finds and my own artwork and photos. If I do want to switch it up I change the artwork and rearrange things 😊
    Reading this is probably frying your brain 😂

      😂 my mum is an artist/interior designer and abit chaotic 😂 but I’d like to say she has organised chaos in her rooms. She knows just the right colours & prints to mix that make it some what work together. In this video I’m definitely talking about when there is just an excess of everything 😂 To the point it would also make it difficult to clean etc. If we were all the same life would be very boring 😂 I actually really enjoy being in beautiful decorated homes too. I just have to have my own personal space very ‘still’ so I’m not overstimulated 😂 so I can be calm. As your home much like my mums - sounds very exciting 😂

    I am a minimalist but there are ways to create a unified aesthetic in a maximalist space so that the effect is luxurious cosiness without the frenetic feeling. Using color as a unifying element, grouping similar objects together, using similar materials in diferetn shades (wood finishes), gallery style picture wall but with images in a similar color, generally grouping objects so that they are both individual pieces but the group becomes experientially one item.

      @SagelifeMinimalism  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I totally agree, some of it comes down to individual taste. I personally don’t like eclectic mix across different time periods of interior design. I also don’t like different patterns it’s just too jarring for me. My mum is an interior designer and has taught me many things about interior styling but some things are just too busy and chaotic for my mind, no matter how well they are paired or categorised in their little area within a room. 😊

    I think that maximalist room would give me a headache! What bothers me is our "throwaway" culture where we're encouraged to consume and then, if we don't like something, we can 'just' discard it. There seems to be little concern for the resources we use - and certainly, I've taken them for granted so I'm not perfect. Since being more mindful about what I purchase, it's highlighted to me how much I used to waste.

    • @SagelifeMinimalism
      @SagelifeMinimalism  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Exactly yes, and the encouragement now on these haul videos we are seeing, to just consume more for the sake of it. Like the struggle to save the environment isn’t bad enough. On a positive note though I do like that many people are speaking out about sustainability & greenwashing. I hope there can be an end to this heightened consumerist cycle. We all do consume as humans granted, it’s a question of how much isn’t it 🤔 🤷‍♀️ 😊

    Earings, cushion, plant on left, note on mirror, something ontop of mirror, 3 different objects on radiator, ring.light in ball way. Think that makes 10? I wouldn't of got the ring or light though if I hadn't pre read this xx
