ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY: 1v1
My honest opinion is that Base Sonic wins against the majority of Marios forms in this fight with [Low-Mid] Difficulty overall due to my deduction of points in the video, the Bell, Tanuki Leaf and Star Power up are not saving Mario due to Sonic's Super Form. So in reality Sonic is not having much trouble with Mario but this could change in future Movies.
GOAL:
The purpose of all my videos is to present an edit where 2 or more popular movie characters are shown in the video where I explain in my personal opinion why one comes out as the overall winner in a fight through research/criticism, and most importantly entertain the audience.
HOW I DECIDE WHO WINS:
Through feats and examples of power shown through the movie/films the characters come from, (listed at the top of the description) using this information I factor the all attributes the characters possesses in their respective films so that each attribute goes to 1 or very rarely to both that contributes to their victory.
CLEARER EXPLANATION OF MY DECISION:
If [Character A] and [Character B] are put in a scenario where they must fight I determine (with my honest opinion) who is most likely to win. The attributes I am pertaining to are physical and mental characteristics [Character A] or [Character B] could use in the fight in question to establish a clear winner. For example If [Character A] has more Strength than [Character B], [Character A] has gained a point in the battle, at the same time if [Character B] has more Durability than [Character A] that also counts as a point which goes towards the end result of who wins at the end. Various attributes are used to determine this and the character who has the most points is considered the winner.
Dedication:
During this point and time my main editing tool was Cap Cut where I would edit clips, add texts and commentary. It took 3 hours to make this edit.

He does have more stamina than movie mario, but it’s not infinite. Once sonic gets onto the bridge in the final battle of the 2nd movie, his speed trail dissipates and he slows down, indicating that he’s tired. Sonic also seems to be breathing heavily in that scene.

I love the detail that the text of what stat goes to who has an aura around it. For example, in super star mario vs super sonic, ones that are rainbow go to mario, while ones with a yellow aura always go to sonic. Except that one which was a tie. This is present throughout the entire video. Go check.

Sonic would take it easily. He is way faster (movie Sonic's best speed feat is faster-than-light speed) and more durable. His spin dash is an incredibly powerful attack, and once he is in his super form he is nearly unstoppable. Movie Mario is strong, but he doesn't have the speed or durability to keep up with Sonic. Sonic would quickly blitz Mario and defeat him, maybe even stopping for a one-liner along the way.
