I agree with everything you said except - they do come with ¼ inch adapter - I’m not aware of the bass distortion - I actually hear quite good depth and layering in the soundstage (not just a little bit of it). Much better in this regard that flat sounstage of Sundaras (althoug they are wider sounding) Generally excellent headphone for the price with very good detail retrieval, build quality and especially comfort. Plus quality accessories (and funny case :) )

Thoughts: Overall good headphone, which will work well with tubes, hampered by both a poor choice of connectivity and a middle school humor protective case. Also, LCP- liquid crystal polymer, I would imagine.

I believe that there is a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter included when you buy these? So, not elegant but it is provided.
Yes, you are obviously missing the 1/4 inch adapter supplied with the headphone.
I use a DD HiFi DJ65B 6.35mm Male to 4.4mm Female Adapter plug, the cleanest option imho.

Have these and enjoy it pretty much on xDuoo TA-20 Plus.
