I’ve been loving so many Dossier fragrances lately and I simply can not wait for them to come out with another Le Labo fragrance soon…
I just got Woody Sandalwood in the mail yesterday and sprayed one spray. Woke up to extreme projection on my wrist still. Fast forward to midday today, my wife asked me if I had sprayed another one on. My reply was “nope but that makes me happy”. One spray and it stayed beast mode.

Used to be big about my “smell-goods” back in high school but for some reason seemed to depart from it; to make a long story less long, re-educating myself on all things fragrance related and i can honestly say from the jargon and word choice in describing the scents to being genuine in the reviews, I’m just glad that I landed here! I appreciate that you confirmed other reviews that say this is a good Santal dupe…but I would have liked a further expertise on the strength of the scent how long it lasts. To me, I’d rather pay for Santal if doesn’t require frequent reapplication.
i honestly cannot stand the dossier version because it smells so pickly and the dry down smells more plastic than the original. In terms of longevity, the original is way better! I ended up buying the original cuz i can't seem to find a good dupe 😭
I owned Santal 33 for over 4 yrs now.
Recently I gave Dossier a try! I must said the smell is pretty closed to Santal but it goes away quickly.
Le Labo is expensive but is totally worth it!
For the ones asking there is a good dupe for the low called Stallion 53 nice one, in the other hand we have the best one “Jo Milano Bid” which is more expensive
I am not familiar with Dossier but then there are so many brands out there, it is hard to keep up, As for Le Labo, I think I may have a love/hate relationship with the House. I do own several but do not care with the way they represent themselves and their elitist attitudes with regard to the cities the perfumes supposedly represent.
Been meaning to try dossiers. However the more you buy the better the discounts. Deciding which 3 or 4 isn’t easy. The last one here sounds interesting. I’ve only smelled 2 by Le labo
I suggest you try the ones inspired by Creed, there are 3 or 4 and with the discounts seems like a good idea go for the most expensive inspirations

Dossier is fabulous but some have or actually most, are quite fleeting on my skin but I do enjoy the opening of Musky Aldehydes for instance which is a Byredo Blanche inspiration.
I am familiar with Dossier but have not tried them yet.
Heard mixed reviews a) don't smell too close to what they are supposed to clone b) performance is poor.
Just out of curiosity was this sponsored by Dossier? Just want to make sure. I have heard that they do this.
Really interested in them but want informed impartial reviews before I do ... and like i said i have heard mixed things.
Also need to factor in 50ml for $29-$49 = $60-$100 for 100ml ... so I would need to compare to the originals price. For high end niche obviously high savings for others maybe not.
I really appreciate how in depth your reviews are and your knowledge of fragrances (and how to describe them). I just ordered all but one of those (will order the Floral Rose next go) and you had me a bit worried for a second when you started talking about salami and cured meats! 🫣😆

Haha. That's just how guaiac wood smells to me! It's very weird! I have some family members who agree with me as well, and I never told them that that's what I thought of the smell. lol. I hope you end up loving them!!!

So I got my order in. I couldn’t be more pleased with Citrus Tea and Musky Sandalwood, but the Musky Gaiac unfortunately smells mainly like hickory on my skin - not quite meat, but still. 😄 I’m so taken with the Citrus Tea that I might exchange it for another one of those, or go ahead and try the Floral Rose!
