Heartbreaks for NFC Bird Teams. Everyone remembers the 28-3 and the Malcom Butler play but Cardinals also got their own soul crushing defeat. That pick 6 that goes 100 yards back the other way (14 point swing) was something. Santonio Holmes seal the deal in the end with his tip-toe catch back of the end zone. I was a huge Larry Fitzgerald fan, and knowing that was his best chance of getting a ring really tore me then.
Hate to say it, but Cam Newton’s career is defined by not diving on that fumble.

i disagree because when i think of cam i think of the first dual threat qb to win a mvp in his 5th season that lead his team to a 15-1 record and a sb appearance, i never think of him not diving on the ball on the opposite 20yd line, no one talks about that, it was the beginning of the drive, there was no given they were going to drive down the field on that possession considering they only had 10 points. its not exactly like everyone was expecting them to overcome THAT DEFENSE

I agree. I think of a big athletic QB that skates by on pure athletic talent but never had the heart and discipline to try and master his position.
That play showed his heart and it stuck with him forever. I used to think he would develop more as a pocket passer when his body got older but after that game and watching his character in interviews, I knew he just didn’t have the mindset to become great.

Think about this for a minute: Matt Giordano, #43 for the Colts, had to run ~40 yards to cover the kickoff, then, with Devin Hester getting a full head start, had to turn back around and ended up catching up to him. That's incredible
