@@jag360.I'm a Bama fan and I had Stroud/Bryce as the best QBs of the 2023 draft about tied in talent. They played about equal vs UGA in 2021/22 with both having 4 TDs but Bryce having a 98.1 QBR vs Stroud with a 94.1 QBR, when both had their WRs. I won money on OSU covering vs UGA, and Bama covering/winning the 1st UGA/SEC championship. I use UGA so much in my example because it was obviously the college defense with the most NFL players, especially 1st RD ones.

Not to mention that his o-line was playing terribly and the team went through 2 offensive coordinators through his rookie season. The reason he was the #1 pick, or suggested #2 pick was how well he did in college. You can blame David temper because he's the one who chose bryce as the panthers franchise qb. There are so many other factors blaming the team entirely (except bryce) and there are plenty of reasons that prove bryce was not the problem, it's to early to say he is a bust. The “lowers his eyes” knock is extremely nitpicky. He was so good in college at keeping his eyes down field while improvising and it paid off numerous times. He also had 7 batted passes last year, Lawrence had twice as much, Stroud had the same amount on 60 less drop backs, Herbert had 7, Love had 8 and AR had 4 on 522 fewer drop backs and I could go on and on and on. He took 62 sacks and only missed 1 game, Stroud took 38 and missed 2 games. Young played behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league and still hung in there and only missed 1 game. If anything that should be praised and his ability to complete the play and not shy away from hits is important in the NFL

BULLSHIT narrative that Houston somehow had a much better roster than Panthers last year. That is not true. Nico Collins had 400 yards receiving year before Stroud got there. Chark had more yards. Theilen was better and more productive than Robert Woods before Stroud and Young got to these teams. Tank Dell is only on Houston because Stroud told them to draft him. Then he got hurt and missed end of season so Stroud didn't even have him for alot of games. Still Stroud went crazy with wins and stats. Stroud is MUCH better QB than Bryce and people making excuses about Carolina "roster" ignore the facts. Yes now Houston added Diggs and Mixon and it's different this year, but thats because Stroud proved to be a great QB already. Diggs a diva and would never even go to play with Bryce Young, fact he wants to team up with Stroud shows just how great Stroud looked last year with mediocre cast around him.

Panthers fan here and it wasnt better than you think it was just flat out awful not much to take away from it. Everytime he had a bright moment he took 2 steps back the next week. Houston and Green bay were his best games and the game after houston he threw 2 pick 6's against indy and debatably his worst game of the season. Green bay was probably his best game but then the next week we got shut out he looked terrible against jacksonville we lost 26-0 he had 112 yards and an interception and looked like he had never played football before so basically nothing to take away from his good games bc he didnt build on them he went backwards after every decent moment he had. I didnt expect him to throw 5k yards and 30 tds but i didnt think he would have more turnovers than scores and showed nothing that proves hes going to be a good quarterback. I hope he does he is the guy i wanted us to draft i even bought his jersey last offseason but he has a long way to go. If he resembles any of what he did last year this season he wont be starting for us year 3. If we have a top 5 pick the next year we are taking a quarterback.

How does Bryce get the opportunity to have more scores when the Panthers defense was injured and not up to par which then led the offense on a passing script? Not to mention the coaching staff on offense an the roster talents on offense was ass. Bryce would end up getting 3rd and long situations because the run game was also ass (for overpaying Miles Sanders). You are literally asking a small QB whose not an athletic runner to make miracles and to move the ball in the air with receivers who can't separate. That is not how you beat man coverage where I bet most defenses were happy to sit against Bryce in those passing downs.

But wait. Turns out that coaching staff sucked and the entire offense sucked too. Did it? Bryce was historically bad in certain advanced metrics that indicate he’s not only a bust, but in the conversation for biggest bust ever. Whatever side of the fence you were on pre draft, you're probably staying on that side until it's abundantly obvious you were wrong. You're going to hone in on the things that line up with what you thought would make him good or bad.
