    You have no idea how many tutorials I have watched on the 4 strand round braid. This is the only one that actually helped, and it is actually really easy. Thank you so much these are all awesome!

    I love the round braind (the first version) but I rarely use it cause I feel like it's the easiest one to deform once you tie and untie it a few times. But I've never done the second version and it looks awesome, I'm definitely gonna try it out. I also enjoy the twisted ties but it's just so uncomfortable to make, my fingers do not enjoy it haha Fishtail is probably my favorite braid but it takes forever to do. So I usually just use the old fashioned 3 strand braid

    This video was extremely helpful! My issue is that my small basic three strand braids tend to twist. What can I do to make sure the braid stays flat? Thank you.

    • @meghancepeda
      @meghancepeda 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so i’ve had this issue but i also braid/“knot” TIGHHHHT whenever i make bracelets. and if you have a more thin/skinny fabric kind of material, and pull too tight, it tends to do this. if not, then i’m not sure what else it would be 😕 hoping this helps you bc these are so relaxing for me & i enjoy them very much! so i can only imagine that if you do it, you do too! so i get how frustrating it can be for inconveniences like this to rear their ugly heads 😅

      @patternandcraft3908  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For the braided ones I think maybe triple the length you want, for twisted maybe double? I haven’t tested that yet though so maybe use a little more since you can always cut off any excess.

  • @fairchan67
    @fairchan67 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The twist is called Senegalese Twist. It's used in hair braiding.

      I cut off the colored thread after finishing off the ends but before making the tie.

  • @loisma2356
    @loisma2356 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My teacher taught me this three strand “braid” it’s like you take three *really* long strands and fold them in half. Then tie a knot and put two strings on your pointer finger and middle finger. On the other hand you put one strand on the pointer. Then you constantly switch but I just can’t seem to do it anymore! I keep trying to do it but they are just looping through each other and won’t make the braid! I still haven’t found a tutorial for it because no one else has made one! Edit : it looks like a braid at first but then if you look closely it is basically a bunch of arrow shapes pointing one way
