Jude is amazing. He's an absolute gem of a footballer. I'm starting to think that he's a generational talent. At 20 years old he's already dictating games for England and Real Madrid with total composure. That's not normal. That's something special. He could walk into any team in the world at 20. That makes no sense.
He reminds me of Juan Riquelme. That slip through pass for England’s first goal wasn’t actually a pass to Rashford, it was no look pass for Foden who ends up scoring anyway.

Rashford provides England a different attacking dimension on the left by running in behind defenders. This prevents the opposition defenses from holding a very high line. The result of this is that Bellingham has more room to work with because the opposition will hold a deep defensive line. Their interchange was also great to watch, I couldn't tell them apart at first glance. Southgate seems to prefer a system that isolates Kane as the only goal threat. Any sane manager would play an attacking quartet of Rashford, Bellingham, Kane, and Saka in a diamond formation. Southgate seems to overthink his team selections.
Southgate literally played that exact attacking formation today (Foden instead of Saka, but saka would be on the right otherwise)…relax. You need a bit of experimentation to figure out what does and doesn’t work and that’s fine

If he had full confidence in that system he would have used it in a competitive match against Ukraine and did his experiments of playing Maddison on the left in a friendly. A 30-goal and 11 assists left attacking player should be able to walk into any national team without any problem or need for experimentation. I am very sure Rashford will be benched when Grealish is fit, that is the system Southgate seems to prefer. And it is the system I was referring to that seems to isolate Kane as the only potent goal threat.

I'm in my sixties & seen some great English players, from Keegan to Robson to Gerrard, they all often looked as if the pressure of playing for England wasn't too enjoyable. Then along comes Bellingham, just 20 & he is revelling in the pressure. He could be anything, not only the complete package technically & athletically but tough mentally. He'll captain England hopefully to a world cup one day.
It’s a friendly Colwill or Tomori should have gotten some minutes what’s the point of a call up if you won’t even play 🤷♂️
This is what I wanted to see from my boys Jude, rashy, foden also saka shows maturity and mental connection that determination understanding if we play as a one spirit we gonna go far enough.. but don't get high and satisfied stay grounded and work on our ethic always 🧠🦁 conscious three lion our captain is a class always 😍🫶

I was expecting a close & nervy match last night - but seeing how we played the takeaway is that we have to build the team around Bellingham now, just unreal for a 20 year old.
