LMMS full guide- Using your own fnf boyfriend vocals (without using multiple channels) ft. Sforzando

In this video, I will just be presenting you the different steps to install and use your own boyfriend vocals in the free software, LMMS.
The steps may not be precise and perfect but those are just what I had to do in my own experiences and I just thought that maybe I could share the same steps here in yt too I guess.

I have made a misinformation in the video and I'm here to apologize. What I said in 6:27 is false and it actually does not come in a .zip file but as an .exe first. The thing to do there is just launch the .exe file first since that is an installer for the Sforzando and it will tell you where you want to put the software folder for that. Find the location of where you put your folder and you will see the folder name "Plogue". Enter that folder and ONLY TAKE OUT the sforzando folder within and now you can follow the rest of my video. I am very sorry for the wrong step in the video and now I hope this comment helped : ]

I've gotten an error that the Sforzando file in the "Plogue" folder was missing, there could be other people who dealt with this issue so I'm going to tell everyone who has how to fix that, simply make a copy of the Sforzando folder in *C:\Program Files\Plogue*

Im pretty sure you can do that in lmms when you go to File > Export > and choose in the options which type of file you want to export it. Ogg and mp3 both work for fnf and it's just that mp3 has a slightly less good quality than an ogg.

Make sure you have redirected the vst paths into the right location in the settings just like in the video before reactivating lmms to make it work. Hope it helps >.>

when im using sforzando i cant hear any of the sounds. When i use SFZ it says No assets found, and when I use SF2, it lets me play, but i cant hear anything (when I use SF2 on the SF2 thing implemented into LMMS. i can hear it, but i cant switch easily between aah, eehs beeps etc). help lol

My only best suggestion is that make sure you've downloaded all the components for the sforzando while using the exe installer since that could be why some assets are missing and I did say in the video that sf2 didn't also work for me and that's why I only used sfz in the tutorial. Ohhhh im kinda running out of solutions but make sure you've at least downloaded sforzando from the official www.plogue site and make sure you download it for your matching os (windows, mac, or linux) so there wont be much problems and im sorry if it still doesnt help

I don't know about the engine start one, but for you hearing nothing in it, you're going to have to put a soundfont or midi in it first (like the bf soundfont) before you start hearing things since a sforzando alone will not make any sound.

Ohh thanks for the clarification and I can't seem to look for much solution to the audio engine error but my possible advice is to just make sure you installed every component that was required in the sforzando exe installer before using it since incomplete installation can cause errors. Sorry if it still doesn't help

possibly late to commenting, im not sure, but I haven't learned much of the basics of lmms, but whenever I do switch c0 to c5. c0 it doesnt play a sound when in the video (10:48) it plays whatever boop beep the soundfont makes and switches to another one, whether i play it in the piano roll or the song editor, how do i make the piano roll play the key switches, did lmms, the plugin, or the soundfont get an update or am i doing things wrong? hopefully someone replies, thanks🏃‍♂

@@Affinity_Official To change from like one boop to another you have to place down like from the range of c0-b2 to change the vowels or boops that boyfriend has which Lorenzo did on (10:48) then kind of like sync the timing of the boop change with the notes that are like the light part ones shown on the sforzando , guessing the lightly shaded ones are for key switching and the keys that have the darkest shading don't do anything?? and once you have you place down a note higher than c1/c2 cause that won't play a sound of anything, lorenzo shows it on 10:56

Dont pick the dwb and pick the sfz one. When you download the soundfont, you have the option to 3 bf soundfonts in separate files that you can use which are dwb, sf2, and sfz. Pick the sfz one only. Hope it helps >.>

Make sure that you have downloaded the correct soundfont and the keyswitches will only work if you're using the soundfont with a sforzando.

If you're doing without sforzando, make sure you have put the soundfont file in the samples folder in the lmms folder in documents then restart lmms to see on "My Samples" if it's there. Hope it helps >.>

@@lalolarriva ohh, sorry to hear about that. I'm actually not familiar with a problem like that and I tried researching if a problem similar to yours exists too but i wasn't able to find any. Just make sure you click hold and drag the soundfont to the song editor and if there's still none then I do hope your problem gets fixed : ( it might be a mouse problem but i really don't know sorry

this video is heavily outdated, i'd recommend using the boyfriend soundfonts created with the actual chromatics.

Yea you're right. The one with the chromatic scales have actually been more useful for me to use in mods than the one in this video now. I'll just leave the video here as a tutorial for using different voice channels for a soundfont since I do not think you can control how the bf pronounces his notes in the chromatic scales >.>

Problem:
You have an actual shitload of filler words, which makes it very difficult to pay attention to your words. To be fair, I think every small youtuber has this problem, myself included. Things like "uh", "like", "fricken", etc. If you need to, follow a script, and take as many retakes as needed to get the words out quickly.
