This was the 1st of this series I've watched - this was really good.. Thank you very much as I have a number of corrugated bldg's in a Steel Mill that this should really enhance!
I really want to get into building models with all this weathering etc, I've only ever done the most basic 'clean' models before..I'm just not sure I've got the patience for it lol
is there going to be a video for how to weather the center of the railway track like sleeper grime oil spill on sleepers on track at station platforms?
I have recently used humbrol matt cote in the bottle one, it made the model a high sheen shine? I had put three coats on and still no difference? Before I put humbrol matt cote on I had put humbrol clear on, I don't know why it made a high sheen instead of a matt finish????
I bought the black wash last week and it's absolutely superb! And the best part is since they're already prepared for you, it takes a lot of the guess work out - I for one always struggled with getting the right consistency. You need these washes in your kit!!! Thanks for the tutorial too, it's opened up a whole new inspiration for other projects!
I came to use the black wash for a second time after using it successfully on the first occasion, only to find that there was an off-white gel substance in the jar. Despite vigorous mixing, the wash had turned more to thick paint rather than a wash. It was though all the liquid solvent had reacted. Jar was tightly capped. Don't know if anyone else has had a similar problem?
Hi, What do you recommend I use for weathering a 1/6 figure wearing all vietnam gear to make him look dirty, worn from the mud and dirt in the rainforest??? Thanks for your help
Another super tutorial! Should come in very handy. Is there any chance of a tutorial on how to weather a carriage, with powered and washes? I really enjoyed the loco and wagons ones and it would be great to see one. Many thanks!
Or you could try a Spanish youtube channel instead of trying to get an English speaking content maker to learn a new language. Equally you could learn English.
hey Humbrol, when I use Humbrol Gloss Cote in airbrush, I thin it down to consistency of water with Humbrol Enamel Thinners, but it still makes little drops on my model. maybe I did something wrong or it's just my airbrush?
Thanks for yet another great tutorial!!! You showed some great styles for detail and a few different methods In previous videos. Because of your tutorials I bought a few bottles of decalfix and gloss cote and many enamel paints. It was a real shame the hobby shop isnt currently stocking weathering powders :( thankyou for these great tutorials.
Every time I try to use humbrol enamel thinners to clean up the wash it strips the paint off my model. I use humbrol clear coat and give it several coats and a few hours to dry before touching it again and it still strips off the paint under the clear coat. Do you have any advice on how to stop this. Thanks.
I just wanted to order multiple washes, powders and thinner via amazon, but Humbrol wants to have post and package for each individual little bottle adding up to a fantasy price for sending. So I deleted the order right away. :(
Number two not impressed, the dust wash separated and thus became pretty much useless two weeks after purchase, the dark green went lumpy after two weeks and is again useless, have also noticed black flakes in bottles of unopened thinners, add to this the shocking quality of some of the Humbrol acrylics I have and no reply from Humbrol customer services means I will throw all this way and never buy their products again, Humbrols loss not mine as I used a vast range of their products each year.

We would recommend you testing this before you attempt it on your actual model.

Podrían hacer los videos en ESPAÑOL... para los que no dominamos el inglés....
Or you could try a Spanish youtube channel instead of trying to get an English speaking content maker to learn a new language. Equally you could learn English.
