It’s all to do with improving their stats. If they attend something where they have a low chance of solving it he crime, a burglary for example, their numbers get worse. If they attend stuff like this where no crime is committed, it doesn’t affect those stats. This is why they love policing online comments, 9 times out of 10 they get a confession.

Parents apartment building had a communal bike shed with £20k of gear stolen from it, clear cctv shot of the guys face and van reg and the police didn’t even bother looking at it, just emailed over a number for insurance claims.
I was just thinking that myself, when you think how long these drones have been about now. Why the hell hasn't a memo been sent to everyone in the police force about the laws on drones especially the 249g drones that most people are using these day so.
So they admit that they've come out when no crime has been committed just to speak to you instead of turning up to actual crimes such as burglaries or car theft.

They are human beings and can speak to the people they "serve and protect" in such a manner as bridge building exercises between police and the public. The term doesn't always mean being friends, as in being a mate. If you were in a bar and had to get past someone, say, for instance. You would say excuse me, mate, or my friend. But the fact is they're not your mate or friend. It's a word of phrase.

🤔 So if the police get a report of say, I saw a man driving a car nearby but I am unsure if he has a license or even knows the highway code that they would show up (within minutes) to make sure he does in fact have a licence and is aware of speed limits, road signs and driving on the left etc, then maybe find time later on to investigate the burglary that was reported around the same time, if not tomorrow will have to do for that nonsense🤦🏻♂️🤡 "we will have to agree to disagree" 😂 Top bloke though that boss, very positive interaction👍
