I am supposed to be cleaning, but I had to sit and really pay attention to this video. I have watched many of your videos so how I missed this one in February is beyond me. The fact that you took your time to create a video like this, when you aren't a member of the community speaks volumes about your character. It is evident that you care about people, even when they look differently from you and have taught your children to do the same by sharing stories through literature and lived experiences. Beautiful pictures of you and your friend. I always loved the black Barbies growing up. Its terribly sad that there was only one black friend of Barbie, Francie, and black Barbie didn't exist until 1979. Its so nice that Mattel has made Barbie so diverse now. Such a wonderful video! Having such a deep relationship with someone and coming from two totally different perspectives taught me so much. I never realized the deep value until I got older. Sometimes my heart hurts when I hear and see the injustices that continue but every step in the right direction as progress. I’m so happy you shared it with your granddaughters. Yay! I agree and have a daughter with disabilities. She has a job and her company is bullying her and not providing accommodations. So I totally get it.
