It's a damn good thing more people haven't seen this crap.
They are so wrong it's stupid. Diabetics should be getting half or less of the carbs they say here.
I've been a diabetic since 2008, and through low carbing, I've got my insulin response down by almost 30 points. If I had eaten double the carbs I've been eating, I'd be a type 2 diabetic right now, instead of being close to getting rid of it completely.

I love the egg muffins. I have type 2. For years I battle it following hospital dietitian instruction and was on insulin. I was in hospital for something and A1C was 11. I talked to hospital doctor about it and reasoned that carbohydrates were the culprit. I googled low carb meals and the keto information came up. I tried that and 3 weeks later had a follow up appointment with my doctor. My A1C dropped to 6.5 and off meds.. I'll never go back to the standard diabetes diet.

Whether you get scrambled eggs or custard depends of how it is cooked. For a more custardy texture, pre cook the milk and the egg yokes at 60 to 70 centigrade and stir continuously. The milk should be pre heated and added gradually so to not curdle the eggs. The mix should coat the spoon but not go lumpy. Then add to your general mixture. It is amazing how the exact same ingrediencs can crate different things.

I hope that she will research the stuff in the future and get a better take on it rather then getting the info from a dietician who isn't giving her accurate information. As you said talk about why she is saying this is a good meal plan for someone with diabetes. Once again the potato was no where close to being a good choice especially for the final meal of the day, maybe fit that in at lunch when you have the rest of the day for your body to break it down but even then, it isn't something I would ever suggest even then. I appreciate her attempt but yes again the mental toll we go through should be talked about, and there are certain words that I feel need to be avoided but once again if you aren't walking in the shoes of someone with diabetes or even someone that is over weight you don't think about that.

Type 2 diabetics are insulin resistant. Therefore the perfect diet should be one which minimises insulin spikes, ensuring no glucose is in the blood, causing damage around the body. A high fibre pear is still very high in fructose, as is an apple. I would not eat any fruit apart from a handful of berries which are low carb and do not cause insulin spikes.

Diet is key; search Doctors Ken Barry, and Eric Berg, for the Ketogenic Diet, and start eliminating as many bad carbs as you can, (anything white; potatoes, pasta, rice, flour, sugar, and high glycemic veggies and fruits). Supposedly, you can reduce the effects of “whites” by cooking, then refrigerating or freezing, then just reheat. You can reduce the impact of bread, by about 30%, by freezing, then toasting. Pay attention, to categories, or certain foods, to see the affect on your blood sugar, testing 2 hours postprandial, (after meals), keeping it below the 180 recommendation for Diabetics, (140, for non diabetic). Stay away from processed foods, they are terrible…made with seed oils, bad ingredients hidden under the guise of “natural flavors,” etc. The best fats are Butter, (grass fed even better), and Olive Oil, (Extra Virgin, First Cold Pressed). Don’t believe the false information that Olive Oil is bad for frying, as your home stove can never reach the extreme temperatures that cause concern about heat and smoke points. When frying in butter, for something that takes longer than say, eggs for instance, add a little Olive Oil, to prevent burning.
      Hope this helps! Blessings!🙏

Stay away from potatoes and I was also told that regular apples are too high and natural sugar stay away from them as well and bananas and most fruits. They’re high and natural sugars. If you can manage to eat them in small portions once in a while, it might work for you but most people in this country, don’t eat small portions. I stopped all sugar intake and carbs and I feel so much better. I’m a diabetic and have been for almost 20 years and it’s just a headache to come up with a good menu for a daily living, but you just have to do a bunch of research on your own from different places what I mean is I take a portion from this woman’s information then I’ll take a portion from another person’s information and I tweak it all to fit me.
