Great video! I'd like to contribute two points: I use a 9ah flexvolt battery and it fits perfectly, and I estimate the light consumes 1ah of battery every 40 minutes.
Hi Alex, love you're vids content and presentation great. Was watching another TH-cam channel (on the trowel) where they were doing a ceiling and featured a light socket LED light light with which they said you recommended ( one with main light and 4 drop down led panels 3 seperate LEDs per panel). Hope you know which one ?
How does it compare to the Faithfull FPPSLTL50 LED Illuminator Task Light. Other than the battery vs plug in do you know if the light output is a lot more. Just looking at the cost difference vs performance.
I’m not sure tbh. The fact it was cordless was important to me. I have loads of batteries so that wasn’t a concern on my end. The dewalt pumps out a lot of light, I’m thinking of getting another for the bigger jobs we have putting it either end of the room.
The light looks awesome but at that price and batteries etc its a no go... We regularly work in 3 - 4 rooms at a time.. Can get 400w led lights for £20 and get years and years out of them.. But the biggest reason its a no go is we don't like the light behind us when skimming.. We want the light at a raking angle to the wall as it shows everything...
DeWalt are REALLY GOOD at ONE thing especially ........ Overloading the Work-Van with EXCESS WEIGHT!! and Reducing Tool-Carrying Capacity :-( ...... I remember the DeWalt radio when it first came out ..... Talk about Over-Engineering ??? ..... Looks like they've done the same with this light - EH?? ..... OOPS!!! ;-)
As much as any other battery operated tool I suppose. We have used it in the rain, no issues, but I wouldn’t use it as an underwater light if that’s what you mean.
Terrible review, you should have got the app for a start to tell us what is good and what is bad. As far as you mentioning buying a thread to attach it to the tripod- the tripod has it all ready attached

Nice light Alex.
I've come to realise one video idea you haven't done yet is mixing plaster/multi!
It’s a pretty well covered subject tbh. Though it does surprise me how often I get asked to do one. 🤦♂️ I will get round to doing one at some point

I have 2 of these and 2 of the tripod lights. I prefer the tripod one. I was surprised when I got them how they chew through the batteries.
The app is not bad I use it just to turn the light on and off if it’s out of reach.

@AlexMorleyPlastering how long would a 9ah battery last, do you know?
What decent use would the app be anyway
Awesome review pal. I have a few of them my self well worth the money. Did the 12am make a difference on run time ?
I have 3x 12 amp 54v battry . And use this light And dewalt mixer . So for my it’s best set .
How long does it last on the 12amp battery?
@@elkatron4410 6-7h
We are only getting 4-5 hours on full power non stop. On a new 12amp battery
Got one myself it’s bright as hell but canes battery’s for fun
As a plasterer you can never have enough lights, or to put it better, there's never enough
the apps is fine. it gives u remote access. you just need to "kill" the apps when you're done with it.
I love this light but will admit it chews through the 9ah batteries 😥

We have the lights and they are amazing, suck the lift out of batteries but still good. Id rather it just turn off instead of the flashing
I agree. The flashing is very annoying.
Will a 12 amp flex volt fit in the light
Yes. That is the battery we bought for the light.
Great review than you

For what its worth, I'm now seeing ratings of 4.2 for Android and 4.6 for iOS.
Looks like I have to buy one of those bad boys to hell with the children Christmas presents
😂😂😂😂 that is sooooo funny.
Nice light is it waterproof Alex!?
