If a show is on a streaming service then I want all episodes at once, regular tv/cable stuff i'm fine waiting weekly and of course anime streaming services are the exception since they also air on tv first.
I LOVE customizable difficulty options like the puzzle slider, they should be in every game. I like puzzles but don't like breaking my brain for hours, simultaneously, I still want the combat to be hard
Chrono Trigger never came to Europe so many of us missed it back in the day- who even had a SNES in the 90s. However, 16 bit akira toriyama art, Yasunori Mitsuda music (the guy who later did music for the xeno games) and the developers behind final fantasy and dragon quest making a jrpg together- with multiple endings and time travel with no random encounters, no wonder it was voted the nr1 game by famitsu readers (...japans biggest gaming magazine) even if nostalgia, that game must have been AMAZING back at release. Just like many other Europeans my first playthrough of it was back on the NDS, a 9/10 game for sure, but back on the SNES at launch? must have been a 10/10 for people.
The demo talk reminds me of the one for Phantasy Star Universe. It was a bunch of the online and you didn’t need to pay the monthly fee like the full version required. Had so much fun playing that
Interesting about what was said about destiny, final shape isn’t the end. It’s the end of the overarching story from D1-D2 before they launch the next chapters. D2 isn’t done and Destiny in general isn’t and that’s what Luke smith said at the beginning of the video. But man final shape is looking really good I can’t lie, the amount of content and changes coming is just INSANE
I have just started Destiny 2 a couple of days ago, man it feels overwhelming, I am not sure what I am meant to be doing with all the UI vomit. (I wrote this just because of the theme of the episode, just started to watching )
Love the talk about CRT tvs. I have a 27 inch CRT in storage. But I also have the GameCube model that takes component video, and I have the super rare official Nintendo component cable. Games seriously look amazing with that cable hooked up.
Finally one of my beloved games is mentioned on an episode haha. Resident Evil 2 remake is now one of my favorite games of all time. I still think it's the best Resident Evil game of all time as well, barely edging out Resident Evil 4 remake. Mr X definitely gives you anxiety and fear when you hear him stomping around in other rooms. It would be cool to hear back from this guy after he encounters Mr X haha.
It doesn't matter how long you've been away, but if you spent any amount of time in Destiny, you know of Gjallarhorn. Also, The Recluse is back and part of the Brave set of weapons from the Into The Light update. Definitely easier to get, but there's a bunch of different rolls you can go for.
To the person who wanted Final Fantasy-likes. Ni No Kuni 1 and 2. They have world maps, are story based, and feature minigames. They can be found at bargain bin prices at times.
Chris, you can't get the hoverboard they added when Guardian Games was here...they gave you one at the start of the event that would expire when it was over, however there was a limited time quest as part of playing Guardian Games to unlock a permanent one, so you missed out.
1:50:27 Have to say I disagree with Dustin's sort it out. I find the week to week release drawn out. Sometimes it's even longer with shows like Invincible where they go months between sets of episodes. All I'm saying is there so so much media to consume between shows, movies, and video games that it's nice to have all the episodes at once to binge so I can move on to the next show.
That’s fine. You can disagree. I agree with him though as a 34 year old dude. Maybe 2 episodes a week would be ideal but I agree with Dustin that the “please binge watch this” release style HAS taken away from the depth, theory crafting aspect, and length of the conversation around media. I guess you somehow don’t care about the conversation surrounding a specific show but as someone who used to go to the “Lost Forums” to talk about what we thought might happen next in between episodes back in the mid 2000’s, the conversation around a show is very important to me.
@@user-dj9iu2et3r Oh I see his point of view and him being a content creator I understand not wanting the pressure to binge it all at once just to be part of the conversation. I'm more of an introvert so I am not really discussing this with others and have the pressure of being part of the zeitgeist. My main point is I just prefer having it all at once that way I can binge it or take my time. I just like the option to do either and that there is so much content to consume that I prefer to have it all at once so I can move on to other content. Backlogs for TV shows, movies, and games can be extensive.
Don't know if it was already said, but Ybarra is no longer the president of Blizzard, as Brad and Chris said. He quitted following the Microsoft takeover.
I respect Chris talking about not doing the Trump voice on command. While it is great, it has started to slip into hacky talk radio-esque schtick over the last few weeks.
@@user-dj9iu2et3r IMO, it's at its best when it's totally out of the blue. I can't remember the exact context, but I remember one episode when he went into it talking about what is or isn't a Souls game and I damn near swerved off the road lol.
Just want to add that I do agree that games should have offline modes, but dictating that by law is a little extreme. There are plenty of small devs making online only games, you just don't know them off the top of your head because THEY ARE SMALL. lol Just vote with your wallet. A lot cleaner and easier that way. And like I said, there are PLENTY of reasons to not support Ubisoft.
What version of GoW Ragnarok have you guys played? It's the same length as the first one lol To the listener: You can finish Ragnarok in under 25h, whoever said it's a 50h game lied to you
How was Ragnorak “bloated?” If you don’t do the side stuff it’s not really bloated… That said, I platinumed it because the combat is the best third person action combat I’ve ever played. Ever.
It felt bloated to me and I mostly mainlined it. The yak section was boring AF. And please play Ninja Gaiden, Hi-Fi Rush, Bayonetta, DMC, or even the classic God of Wars, zoomer.
Jumping is overused in games. Resident Evil and Dead Space don’t have jumping nor do many other games such as Hitman and Siege. Even CoD would be better without it as long as you could still vault and climb.
You literally just defeated your own complaint by giving a list of games that don’t use jumping. Jumping is straight up necessary in certain types of games and I’m glad FromSoftware has decided to incorporate jumping into their level design.
@@user-dj9iu2et3r I’m obviously listing these games because they show that jumping is not needed in many types of games. Being able to jump works in Elden Ring because of the open world exploration and in Sekiro because of the mobility of a Shinobi but some games seem to have it just because it’s a such a staple of older games

I think there would be a lot of potential in a Syphon Filter show or mini series. Think the Jack Ryan show but Syphon Filter.

The hover board was available for free during guardian games. Think the only way to get one now is to buy the Gjallarhorn themed one in the shop
