Good stuff, Randy. I was able to get similar results with holding the mic on my computer headset to the speaker on my Alinco DR-635 mobile radio and using MMSSTV software on my PC. WU6X
I only got one pass, but still good fun. KO6TH reminded us and so I gave it a try. Hey, I've been enjoying watching the new shop go together. Cool! I'll say hello to the guys next coffee!
Don't need a tracking antenna. I have been using ARRL ISS Minimalist antenna with great resultswww.arrl.org/files/file/ETP/ISS%20Minimal%20Antenna/ISS%20Minimalist%20Antenna%20article.pdf
@@maniacguitarhero Hey, try to search for iss sstv - there's ariss.org and ariss-sstv blogspot com, but i believe that there are facebook groups for hams and more:)
@@K7AGE I went cheap and easy to do this. I had issues with Virtual Audio Cable in the past so I used an extra 1/8" phono patch cord and hooked up the line out to the line in on my motherboards sound card. This way I can decode KiwiSDR and of course TH-cam videos.
I think I copied 9 passes over the two days. I may have missed a pass or two. Two to three pictures for each pass. The picture takes two minutes to send, then a two-minute break. On a good pass, there may be enough time for 3 pictures. But the first and last picture may be noisy due to being lower in elevation. I have just a simple fixed position J Pole antenna. I do live near the top of a hill with a good view of the horizon in all directions. I was amazed at how well I copied the space station at low elevations. Someday, I want to get my tracking antenna system back up and running.
I'm happy to see there's still active transmissions being sent out! Please cover more of the SSTV transmissions :)
Thank you Randy! I realized that there's all this technology still on and working, so cool to see it running... i love the sounds 💙
HE LOGRADO USAR SU VIDEO Y BAJAR LAS IMAGENES, SIGAN SUBIENDO MAS VIDEOS, SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO.
I played this into mmsstv from my phone and got the pics! Can't wait till they do it again😎👍
Not for a long time. Equipment problems with the SSTV station.
Hi Randy,
That is a very interesting video. I also use Heavens-Above to check for Iridium satellite flares. 73 WB3BJU

Dennis, cool. Great fun. I drove my wife crazy stopping projects every 90 minutes for a pass! Hi to the guys.

Very cool, Randy! 73
I’m gonna try to hear it with a vertical antenna in my bedroom definitely not expecting great results but oh well
Thanks. Helped getting my MMSSTV working!
K7AGE you must have the best tracking antennas system to get super images from the ISS like these and for such a long tracking time .

Thank you very much. Glad that you liked the video. 73 Randy
I was surprised, I have Black Cat SSTV App on my iPhone, I held my iPhone up to speaker of my iPad and it decoded no problems at all. Dave K7DR
It is nice when things work. In a few months, there will probably be another ISS SSTV event.
@@K7AGE Do you know anything more about that? Is there a site that mentions such events?

If you run the MMSSTV Software to this video, you can also decode the images
yes. the problem of playing the video and decoding on the pc is getting the audio to work. Play back on a separate device and decode on another.
@@K7AGE works fine with "virtual cable"

@@MichaelLaferriere that works too
Try to heard them.... Have sound.but.any pics.come.in
i tryed on my decoder and the results issss........ same image on the vido!
You must be having a problem with noise garbling the signal what about an adaptive noise filter.
Think it was weak at different times during the pass
I ran MM-SSTV for 2 day. I never got a thing. What tracking program was that?
Orbitron, free
@@K7AGE Thank You de va7dgp
I use MMSSTV to record. SAPTPC 32 to track ISS and also get the pass information on Heavens above
How many passes of the ISS did it take for you to get these sstv images ?
