At first, this was really painful to see that it could be that easy. But then I stopped doing all the fancy stuff, or just didn't do it as frequent and it really helped a lot. It's crazy to think that I've been like overdoing it the whole time. Very important lesson: just simplify things that don't to be complex!
i cant say much since highest i ever hit was d1 or d2 but when i "clear" my head put on some tunes and just jam to music i tend to do better even able to defend against some of the mechy stuff i cant do. I wish i could do them but havent gotten the hang of it yet.
So true, I came back to rl recently after a 1 yr break, got locked low dia, started doing this and did passing plays and easily beat c2-c3s

maybe unpopular opinion: I like that high level players make play throughs with low level mechs to make a point, but me and most likely many players out there would rather play and rank up through the ranks with a more mechanical playstyle because of the “flashy and fun” may of playing like so.
I’m not at all hating on anyone and love Chief Beef, just voicing an opinion :)

Just got back to RL, used to be c2-3 with ok mechs, but basically went every other shot with tm8s, but after watching these I started doing passing plays and it made all the difference.

The comment about younger and older people's ranks is spot on. I'm 40 and mid GC and my daughter is 8 and gold-plat. The funny thing is I just went through all this the other day. I made a new account on Epic and ran through the ranks. It's impossible to beat up on the lower level players. It feel like a full grown adult fighting a toddler.

U get to diamond 3 with that little stuff, my diamond 1-2 lobbies are filled with people that flip reset, ceiling shot and airdribble double tap all the time...
Man, I'm champ and you make my rank look so stupid. And yet I still have a rough time :(, even with the 5ft rule and not going when others are going for it.
I am also barely champ, but gotta remember his mechanics are nearly perfectly consistent at this point and anything he wants to do he can

After watching ur videos I swear no one in these ranks is this bad (im gc1 in 2s and c1 in 1s). I completely agree that u dont need flashy stuff to reach gc. In the air I can’t even flip reset or air dribble I can only do doubles. Idk if it’s the editing but these people in the videos look nothing like the people I play against every day mechanics wise. Why is that

Can't be much fun for the people on the other team who are doomed to lose from the start. Even without complex mechanics, your shooting and fifties are still much more refined.

I agree yeah, for the sake of the video I had to cut a lot out. I tried to keep a good mix of funny moments/teachable things, but around champ I was mainly just chillin in my stream talking with my chat so advice wasn't all that plentiful. I do plan on uploading the full vod to a 'chief beef vods' channel within this week however!
