Hey everyone welcome back to another video today I am super excited today we are taking our first look at Brinkley Model Z! Brinkley is an all new manufacturer of RVs so this is super exciting! This is the Model Z which is their Mid-size Luxury 5th wheel brand. The first floorplan is 3100 which is a rear living room couples 5th wheel. What I love about this 5th wheel is that they are doing some different designs both inside and outside. What I love about the outside is the futuristic look. I don't think that I've ever said this before, but I like everything about the styling, both inside and out. Not 90%, not 99%, but 100% LOVE the styling. I specifically want to point out the use of the black paint around the windows to make them blend in. It seems that the people who designed this were thinking about everything that a customer might want, and how they might use it, instead of finding the most cost effective way of doing things. This is going to rake in the "Best of 2023" awards! 😎

Wow, I expected the MSRP to be around $130k! I love the simplicity in the design -- looks so clean, and not at all gaudy like other 5th wheels.
If that cushion attached to the wall could come down and sit on the bench/desk, it would be perfect! Way to go, Brinkley!

My spouse and I have been searching for the right RV to live half the year on the road (we will work and recreate in it). We've looked at motorhomes and travel trailers. It's been a year long process. Never thought we would consider a fifth wheel until we saw the Brinkley Z3100. We are delighted and shocked at how many things the Z3100 check the boxes. Check. Check. Check and so on! We are placing an order soon -we are excited to join the Brinkley owner community.
Major props to Brinkley for finally figuring out the proper pantry door orientation! If they got this tiny (but important) detail right, I can only
imagine how they did on all the other hidden details. This is a very impressive rig!
Just those small touches that they do make it a step forward, the power outlets, the tough guard outside storage, the usable solar panel size, the televator , the clear cover, riveted not screwed panels, paper towel holder, little things that will all add up to a better experience.

The interior attention to detail is impressive. Even adding that add on magnetic shelf for larger c-pap machines just confirms , to me anyway, that every single inch is well thought out!

I really like this one. I would call the trim color "clay". The finishing touches are what makes this one. I'm glad the "gold tone" fixtures are more of a brass color instead of 80's gaudy gold. I do like the coffee table/bench but agree it should have a cushion. Another thing I like is the raise up hand rail. One thing I always didn't like is the swing hand rail that can pin the door closed. Kudos and congratulations Brinkley for a beautiful Fifth Wheel.
Thanks for the kind words! The actual color is "mindful grey". The back cushion is magnetized to the wall and can be removed and used as a bench cushion. We keep the top wood so the bench can also be used as an ottoman, coffee table, or work station in the main living space.

Finally, a travel trailer that looks modern and updated. I love this one. Looking forward to seeing it in person. The back cushion on the bench/ottoman is removable so it can be used to sit on.
A criteria that I use as far high quality goes is the drawer construction. This one appeared to have dovetail joints. I can't recall the last time I saw dovetail joinery on drawers in an RV. But my house has them. A great criteria moving forward to separate the wheat from the chaf.
I absolutely love this unit! My husband and I have looked at so many RV’s and frankly they were all looking the same. I love the residential look. Thank goodness for a sofa that’s not leather!! I love the woodwork, hardware, backsplash, detail to everything in the restroom, and so much more!!! This is a HUGE HIT!
Love this! Great to see a new manufacturer present a beautiful, modern unit right off the bat. It's simple, clean and looks easy to add your own touches to (like, actual curtains!) Finally, someone gets what a lot of people are looking for! Looking forward to seeing what other models they come up with. I was surprised by the lower price too.

Everyone has different perspectives. To me, "actual curtains" are unessesary and not needed. I didn't like them in the bedroom. Personally, they collect dust, need maintenance, bring in the window and narrow the space, and an unnecessary cost.
I like the exterior design. Very different from everyone else and tastefully done. I like the large solar panel, no need for adding more power. Interior colors are great. I love the way they have a stable island with the vents integrated into the island. Lot of standard equipment so you know your getting a loaded coach not a stripped down model.

That's the only Televator I've ever liked. Tucked in a corner and combo with the fireplace - makes a lot of sense because it tucks behind. Most of the time I'm not a fan of televators.
One of the nicest looking off-the-shelf fifth wheels I've seen. Modern and contemporary.
the wire and hoses under the sinks etc are nicely handled. its not messy. they paid attention to details.
Just watched the toy hauler video. Add the same hitch pin on this unit as the toy hauler. Make front storage match the storage in the toy hauler. Nice storage in front on the side. Like all the door add ons. THANK YOU for using high quality tires. THANK YOU for making two AC standard. Can you add the electric cord reel w/flat cord? Are there screens on the back windows? Should have electric recliners at this level. Offer two separate electric recliners as an option with a small center storage table. Are there shades and screens on the recliner/dining table side windows? The end windows on the slide need to open with screens. On the pantry shelving have a lip so the food and cans etc. don't fall off. Make the window behind the stove open w/screen. Change kitchen sink to sponge drawer and not the shelf. Have a slow close lid on the toilet. You need screens on your windows. Nice closet space! Add the drawers at the end of the bed. Bring over the perks on the toy hauler over to the standard fifth wheel. Great review. Thanks!!
I usually don't Like 5th Wheel RV's, But I Love This One It's Totally Different Than Most with all of the little Touches they put in it. To me it's Beautifully Done inside and Out. Even still I would have liked an outside kitchen 😁
Thanks for the feedback. There is not an outdoor kitchen but it is fully prepped for an outdoor kitchen/entertainment area. There is door side LP quick connect, hot and cold shower, power outlet with USB/USBC and a coax hookup.
One of the prototypes had a Moride slide which would have accommodated a blackstone. Looks like it was removed for other improvements. -Perhaps the second A/C.
I currently have a travel trailer with a huge outdoor kitchen and I love it. But we're upgrading to a 5th wheel and have found very few with an outdoor kitchen. Honestly I don't think I'll miss it as we set up tables with our Blackstone on it anyway. Brinkley putting an outdoor water hook up on the camp side is huge!!
I LOVE this. I love the interior. I like that the gold fixtures aren't that brassy/yellowy type of gold. They're muted and subtle like the cabinets and drawers themselves. I love the shape of the windows. Very home-like and NO valances, which I like the look of. I think I've only seen that in one other manufacturer. I like that the couch and theater seats are different. Another home-like touch. And çan we TALK about the MSRP?! I honestly expected much higher! I don't think I even had a dislike! Maybe that more of the windows opened? But they knocked it out of the park, imho. Welcome to the RV world, Brinkley! Nice job!

Great review as always. The only issue for me is your love of Furrion. If you read through the various forums you'll find that Furrion is overly represented in negative comments for things that fail. For an AC unit I'll take Coleman or Dometiic every time. For a fridge I want a Norcold unit whether it be a two way unit or a 12 volt unit. For a water heater there is no way I'd choose tankless or Furrion. I'll take an electric/propane unit tank water heater every time.
Tankless water heaters use a lot more water before they heat it sufficiently and Furrion tankless heaters are often the subject of many complaints.
Not great for boondocking requiring a lot more water before they actually heat it.
If you want a normal 2 way water heater you want an aluminium one, used to be Atwood brand but Dometic took over the company now, Suburban brand have anode rod, which is work to maintain. (I’ve had both). And your right had a furrion convection microwave lasted 6 months, inferior plastic, got it working by replacing a major door plastic piece with a better quality part. (all microwaves built with same technology but not same type of plastics.) And careful norcold 18cu double door 2-way fridges are junk technology. And yeah agree with the AC’s. 🍻
Nice 5th wheel so happy that the RV manufactures are finally getting bright new colors and more modern interiors makes it looks so much more like a home .
Even with the 3 dislikes the both of you pointed out, I think they have a winner. Hopefully they take your recommendations seriously and implement them down the road. This is a perfect couples setup that allows for entertaining as well as room for overnight and/or extended weekend guests. The rear storage looks like it could accommodate storing one, maybe two e-bikes.
This fifth wheel is a breath of fresh air and I'm going to give it a super like because I love what they are doing with the end user in mind and in the little things. My dislikes coincide with yours totally and Matt, your fly is down, I thought this was a family show 🙄😂

There is nothing I don't like in this! Love that all the cupboards open like residential. If we were ever to get a 5th wheel, it would be this unit.
This is definitely on our list of 5 models for 5th wheel choices. I would love to see a lit under step (steps to the upper level) shoe storage with some type of door or sturdy netting to keep them in and for airing. For sanitary purposes, I would definitely put an indented space for a toilet paper holder on the outside of the facing cabinet. To add to the great idea of the CPAP machine, some kind of holder to keep it from falling would be cool. Motion sensor lights for night bathroom runs since the bathroom is not accessible from the bedroom. Under cabinet slender flip down drawer for coffee/tea/spoon holders as an option for the kitchen beverage area by the door.

I saw this for the first time at the Tampa Bay RV show and immediately moved it to the top of my list of 5th wheel RV’s to buy. I love the attention to detail. The quality of craftsmanship is obvious from the moment you walk in the door. I plan to buy a used RV to start doing some occasional trips over the next few years, but when I go full time in 3-4 yrs after I retire this will be the RV I purchase. Impressive!
This is an amazing 5th wheel. Brinkley did it right. The seat in the dinette is great, but you can put a cushion on it. I agree it should have 6 point leveling system. In all very nice as you always say.
Thanks for the kind words. The dinette back cushion is magnetized to the wall and can come off and be used as a seat cushion. We chose to leave the top wood so the seat can also be used as an ottoman, coffee table, or work station. A six point leveling system does not increase stability if the jacks are not more than 22' apart. We did move the front jacks to the outside of the I-beam to create a "wide stance" jack system which does increase stability.

This camper is indeed something to be really really excited about it because it is,now if only we could use it down the road during long road trips by doing things such as watching tv,take rest,chilling in the livingroon ,playing atari or nintendo in the sleeproom etc,, now that would be really awesome😁

And after scrutinizing everything, I have only one dislike, I'd change the trash can pull out drawer to a full drawer with pots, and pans storage rack. I do a lot cooking, and it's the only way to get enough in, and for full time living trash is taking primo pull out drawer!

I love the very thought out space. It looks like Brinkley took some input from the full time RV people. I just might consider this one. Lately it’s been hard to find the truck I want to pull this. I Love the Super C’s . Something about them. I feel if I am going to drive, I would love it from a Freightliner chassis. Although also have this one at another location. Oh and the one thing that Matt said about the stabilizers. We have a 36’ 5th wheel and we have four point leveling with 2 twinky back scissor jacks. Feel every step of my husband or anyone else inside. It is a most beautiful trailer! 🥰🤗
Very nice unit. I love the 'as standard " items on this that others make you pay for. I think this is going to be a best seller for 2023. I would certainly be interested, a very good price and everything I would like in a 5th whell. Unfortunately, I, a) don't have the money and b) don't live in the States. Ah well, even old ladies can dream!
I need this RV.I would make a cushion for the table bench.It needs a dishwasher and generator.
I would pull the velcro back cushion off the wall and move the bench into the living room to use as a footrest/TV tray...then I would put one chair on either side of the table. I totally agree - every RV needs a dishwasher and a generator!
Thanks for the feedback. The back cushion is magnetized to the wall and can be used as a seat cushion. The Model Z is not dishwasher prepped but it does have room for a 5500W generator in the front and we have run the accessory wiring for the generator from the factory.

I love this unit! The finishes are absolutely fabulous. So excited to walk one at the Columbus RV show this weekend. Finding this video today couldn't have happened at a better time (Friday, going sunday) The trim around the windows instead of valances or curtains? OMG! YES! Thankful for the 2 a/c unit update by the manufacturer. Do not and will never like the island cutting in front of the theater seats. How can you recline and still see the TV if you're 5'3" like me? Guess I'll find out on Sunday, lol. I'm not sure about the shallow shelving in the bdrm, but I'm sure I'll find something to store in there, lol. I'll be adding Brinkley RVs to the list as we look at 5ths to trade up from our TT in 2023. Thankful for you both, as always! Happy New Year!

Stunning unit that doesn't look like an RV inside, which is a compliment! My big question / issue / confusion relates to electrical...why include 370w of solar but no inverter and batteries? Maybe Brinkley is keeping MSRP down, and whoever wants to add lithium, a 3000w pure sine wave inverter and a generator for boondocking can do so. But many of us would have to factor all that into the cost of the unit. The bedroom absolutely needs that a/c unit though as standard equipment. Website still shows that as an option.
We love this design and are impressed with the thought that has gone into it. Every possible space is used, and it looks beautiful, too. Love the inside colors and the outside design.
One recommendation would be to have the side windows open. We know they would need to be sliders so they can't stick out when the slides are closing. But the cross breeze would be worth changing the look for those windows.
We currently own a Class A, and this is the ONLY 5th Wheel we have seen that could get us to sell our current unit and towed vehicle! We hope we can see one in person this year.
Very residential feel
1) I liked the bedroom space, mirrors, and storage. 2) bathroom storage 3) pass-through underneath. Don't love the pantry shelves. It looks like everything will fall off on travel day. Don't love the wood on the bench.
Thanks for the feedback. The pantry shelves have a lip on them to keep items from falling off in transit. The shelves also come almost all the way out to the door to help keep things from falling as well. Love this RV. It's one of the top ones on our list. I would like to see light natural wood instead of the painted wood and would rather have silver or black fixtures instead of all the gold. I would have to swap out all the gold handles and and fixtures. Would like to have the bigger residential oven. Agree on the 6 point leveling.
Hi Matt and Wil! Welcome back Wil. This is a very nice fifth wheel. It’s very beautiful for being new from a manufacturer. Not much of dislikes for me. Just the ottoman seat for the dinette. Too hard to sit on while eating.

I love it. It's definitely more modern than traditional. I think it would be easy to find a black bench/ottoman to work in the dinette. Maybe you could buy 2 extra chairs. Love the lift-top table.

Just saw this at the MD RV show. Really nice. The wife and I both liked it. I have to agree with Matt on those chairs. They are simple chairs, but very comfortable. One thing Matt didn't show in this video. There is a silverware drawer in the table. Pretty cool. Brinkley Rep we talked to was really nice. Looking forward to seeing whatelse Brinkley will do in the future.
We take possession of ours on 7/28! MoRyde and Lippert make a handrail that can be attached to the stairs if you need extra help, like I do.
Every videographer's favorite situation: forklifts backing up and the grounds crew using gas blowers. Anyhow, this is a nice unit and I really dig the number of access points for power and USB. I get the point about needing 6-point leveling, but ours has that and the same thing happens even with a kingpin tripod.
I love the super thick strong wood that has been used all around the RV.

I wish they actually had night stands on at least 1 side of the bed. I see that there is the shelf above the bed on each side but my husband said he would be concerned if he should accidentally pull on the cpap hose while sleeping, it could pull the machine down. Other than that I really love this 5th Wheel.
Thanks for the feedback. This unit has a king bed standard and we are unable to fit a nightstand with the king. There is an option for a standard queen bed from the factory which would add nightstands on each side of the bed.
Velcro strap would secure a CPAP machine to the shelf easily. That's what I plan on using. 😊

It REALLY needs a place to put your cups/glasses when sitting in the theatre seat. We prefer a top refrigerator with bottom freezer. Also, it needs 6 point auto leveling.
Might get one in 2024. Not sure what we would put in all the open storage areas. Hope they make these changes!!!

Great looking new 5th wheel. I think it's very well designed & those thoughtful touches are great.
If I could change one thing it would be the table in the eating area. It's not a dinette that'll turn into a bed so please make the table free standing. That way it can be moved away from the wall to allow for more elbow room, etc.
Thanks for the feedback. We chose the floating table design so there are not any posts to knock your knees on when getting in or out of the table area. There is also a built in silverware drawer in the dinette table. When one of our owners and Model Z designer, Micah Staley, took this unit on a month long cross country road trip, his oldest son slept on an air mattress under the dinette table.

We will have two bunk room floor plans during 2023. The current plan is for a mid bunk and a traditional bunk. These should be released sometime this summer or early fall.
No one can lock you in your camper with that style handrail outside the entry door

@@polgara28 Apearently people Kids would fold them closed while the occupants were inside their camper. Then your basically locked in, unless you have a second door.
the cushion in the dinette is magnetically placed against the wall and comes off to be placed on top of that transformer storage/desk/ottoman or if you need more space for us fluffier guys just place the cushion on the seat and rest against the back wall also under the dinette table is another pullout draw that has utensil storage and room for more, You didn't mention about the joint between the walls and the ceiling that they don't hide a quickie joint with crown and caulk

The Otto table goes in front of the sofa, not the recliner. LOL
While watching your video. We own a DRV fifth wheel and a 2016 Spartan that we purchased from General Rv in ocala. On this Rv the pantry is the pits and the magnet for a extra shelf in the bedroom is awful. No room for personal space such as a c-pap machine etc.

I love most all of this, but that entire dinette needs to go. Maybe a desk with a chair or a counter with 2 chairs? And, I like screened windows. Just my luck, a bee flies in and stings me. Off to the hospital, I go.

Here are my thoughts. I love this trailer and am very interested in this brand and design as my next trailer, when that time comes.
But I hope they tweak a few things.
i) I don't want to open the garage to get to the paper towels ( I have seen this in residential design where the paper towel is accessible and it can be pulled out as the same)
ii) the island seems to intrude into the living space a little too much. (Too long, but I like the working space on the island as most RVs don't have the space that you can actually work within)
And iii) the dining space is too tight, no room to breathe or move.
And I would prefer black accents vs the gold or brass (not sure what they were)
I LOVE
i) the window valances as they are NOT bulky and ugly
ii) the concept of the bench/ coffee table
iii) counter space beside the range. Usually, you can't put a pan or pot on the counter beside the range, nor ingredients to be added to the cooking pots/pans.
iii) the flooding was the same between the slide and main floor space. The seem was not super noticeable, which is very nice.
The top storage of the bedroom dresser is nice it slides vs flips or hinges.

It’s too bad it doesn’t have power theater seats. But my wife and I really like what we saw.

Love this RV! If there is a powerful enough inverter, would the standard solar package be enough to run the AC or fireplace?
The Brinkley Model Z line is true inverter prepped for a 3000W inverter. This would power all outlets in the coach (including the microwave and fireplace) but not the A/C.
5th wheel rvs used to go for $60k up to 70k back in 2019 for luxury style long 5h wheels but the prices now seem to be way above average even do the lumber prices came down seems like most of RV dealerships will be out of business soon to many overpriced inventory people are getting big loans for this toy haulers I will be glad to buy one at auction for fraction of the cost once they get ripo 😂🤣

Although I love what this company is doing, I have old lady needs like a seat in the shower, a dishwasher or at least the option for one, a bath and a half because sometimes you and your spouse need to use the facilities at the same time, and I realllllly need water and ice in my fridge. If it weren't for these needs, this would be the one I would buy because of the residential feel and finishing touches that give it a better quality. I've been watching this company test out different models and I'm glad that they toned down the goldness in their furniture!

I don't get manufacturers putting a window above the stove. The last thing I want to clean is possibly a greasy or splattered window. It needs a 4 burner stove. I also don't like the light fixtures above the dining table and the other areas. Personally I am looking at full time stationary for a few years. I'd rather have a counter all the way at the sink instead of a pantry. Upper and lower cabinets. I also don't want garbage inside my cabinet. I'd rather have that be just a cabinet. The toilets aren't "man" friendly. I'm not a fan of the windows. The back couch would drive me insane with those back cushions. Believe it or not. I do like some of the ideas. lol

At 13’2” this is not a midprofile it is full size. Midprofiles are 12’7” and under!

The screens slide up from the bottom. In the video they called them daytime shades but they are actually screens that magnetize to the blackout shade on top to keep bugs out when the windows are open.
