Sweetwater is the best online company for musicians hands down. Their 55 point inspection for your instrument they do before they send it out and set up and tuning is free of charge. They make sure whatever comes off the trucks into their warehouse is in perfect working order before it's sent to your house or they simply don't send it out. They even put candy in the box of whatever you ordered. I guess that's what they call their "sweet" touch, but seriously, These guys are the best in the biz!!
I notice the coil tap switches on the Mustang have three positions, right? I thought it would just be two - one for humbucker and one for single coil. What is the extra position for? Thanks, R
The Pawn Shop is actually a Fender Squier '51 "Re-Issue", with the appropriate Pup ugrades of course. But the biggest difference, oh, about $700 freaking dollars! Find a '51 and upgrade it yourself for ALOT LESS MONEY! I personally have (7) Squier '51's, and each one is hot rodded with Tex/Mex pups, and sounds even better than the new Pawn Shops I've tested at Guitar Center. Check 'em out! All over Ebay for about $100 - $150 bucks!
Did NOT like the sound of that amp. Occasionally it had a nice growl, but "edgie/brittle/raspy" is mostly what I was hearing. And I'm in the market for one of those, so it would have been nice to hear them through something else. But thanks for the effort.
id buy from sweetwater bc they boast about their attention to detail with setting up an instrument prior to ordering but so far every guitar ive bought(around 5 in the past 2 yrs) has been off of zzounds payment plan.not only do they approve everyone but theyll work with you and match prices and spilt stuff into 8 or 12 payments.youre missing out on a little business sweetwater lol
This is the first demo I've heard on here that makes these guitars sound good!!!
that 51 sounds awesome

Got one on order. Easiest neck to play with the short 24in scale.
@theguitarczar It certainly looks like it's a short scale, compared with the other two.
You didn't mention whether the Mustang Special's scale length was true Fender 25.5 or if it sticks with the shorter scale of previous Mustang guitars.
@Odiculeoj Yep, where are the clean tones? Hm.

Lol sitting in your basement with 7 squiers xD
@Odiculeoj I concur, brother. Not a good amp choice. Playing is wonderful, but that amp just doesn't do it.
