Sinulog Festival is the largest cultural festival in the Philippines that it cannot accommodate all the participants in one single day. So, they split the contingents into three categories: Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan (all Cebu City-based contingents), Sinulog sa Lalawigan (contingents from all over Cebu Province excluding Cebu City) and Sinulog Grand Parade (all other contingents in and outside Cebu including the top 5 winners of each of Sinulog sa Dakbayan and Lalawigan). The first two parade and competitions are held a week before the main Sinulog Grand Parade. They limit the number of contingents up to 16 only for the Sinulog sa Dakbayan and Lalawigan due to the time limitation and huge number of members of each group, no less than 300 each.
Good morning Chris from the Great State of Texas! ☺ I'll let the kids know about your video when they get out of school today & I know my husband is looking forward to the video. They'll be so excited! Looking forward to watching your video. Ingat.
Chris! The whole family just watched your video and now Pop-pop aka Grandpa wants to come to the Philippines with us! 😅 What a beautiful scene of costumes. One of my early memories as a child was my grandmother sewing our costumes for a fiesta when I was a little girl that I was part of. It looks so festive there, Chris! 😊. Thanks again at ingat. It's do much fun in the Philippines!
I was there this year and although the events were awesome, its not as grand as an even since the governor and mayor are not cooperating with each other and having seperate events. When I was there in 2020, it was one big event that ran the streets and lasted all day with over 100 barangay's taking part. I do hope they get back to that kind of event. Thanks for the vid!
Well, our hopes just answered because Sinulog 2025 is back to its original route with 75 confirmed contingents just within cebu. More contingents outside cebu will be joining! Cant wait
@@jaip97 Luckily I booked at baseline ahead of time.. So glad Im skipping Horizons this year. in 2020 I had to go down 42 flights using the stairs, they manually operated the elevators and it was a mess. Pit Senyor! :)
Oh, you meant the "Yutes", right (cue in cousin Vinny interrogating the witness in the courtroom)😁? Anyway, Sinulog is like a super extended Broadway grand musical that lasts up to a week or so.
@@CarefreeChris Seems you liked the crowd, here you go the Dinagyang 😅 it will be worth it for the first-timer to witness like you! hope you'll make it there! 🤞
I’m just not seeing the appeal of the Phils unless you are on a low budget. Vietnam, Korea, Japan & Thailand all offer a superior standard of living compared to the Philippines, in my opinion. Plus, there is a much higher percentage of hot babes in those countries not to mention obese women are rare unlike in the Phils. I guess most prefer the Phils due to English being commonly spoken.
Vietnam and Thailand are actually cheaper than the Philippines. I believe people choose the Philippines over those locations for two reasons… English speaking and the people. The Filipinos are just incredibly friendly welcoming people
Awesome, that looked like a lot of fun. 🎉
Very!
That song and the dancers were absolutely amazing! I could feel the energy from the states! Thanks, for sharing, brother. 🤘
My pleasure!! More to come
