Amazing builds! Really like the 300, the 53 and the Cougar/Pred....... in that order but simply tough to see the tricks and details without being there in person. Thanks for the coverage!
Yea he is a level above the competition but the others are still nice to look at! glad you enjoyed the video! if you want to see more I've got another video of a walk through of the entire show you should check it out th-cam.com/video/qFeYL0EQvEo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D664clhzRq6L69OD
Good Lord are these just beautiful machines. Of course can dig it knocked it out of the park not a big fan of those Wheels but a big fan of what he does and also for some strange reason I love that Chrysler😊
Yessssss, that vette looks like it came from one of the Italian stying houses like Pininfarina. If that car didnt win then they got robbed. The car beat every categories by bus lengths
I’m glad someone finally built a fastback cougar. I’ve had pics of one for 10 years but never got a chance. Keith Kaucher drew it up or photochopped it. No one had a chance against the Kindig Vette tho.
The Kindig is a beautiful car, but the overall shape looked like a Corvette Corvair concept streched out like a modern day promod drag car .... the Henry Jenner and Cougar caught my attention ..... all were awesome cars 🎉
The shine factor on that impala was insane. Its like staring into the sun, you wanna look away but you just can't. May not have been the best of the 8, but i really like that blue.
You had to know that that Corvette was going to win! It was just a step above every other car there! But thank you for showing me the rest of the cars that it was up against. Some really nice cars that people put a lot of work into.❤
I'm pretty sure the Cougar was the creation of JF Customs all the way out in British Columbia Canada? Cheers to JF and his talented team I agree this Cougar is a special, special car. 😊
Dave have a 1 of 1 eye for design, his cars are just just immaculate and deserves to win but God it was some tough competition. The Chrysler will be my winner if Dave didn't present the Corvair
It's all about the build at this level what you end up with after it has been judged and shown is almost and after thought? Except for when you are totalling up the receipts one night and realize how much money and time has just been invested! 😊
When do they get to the point where they don't even put tires on these cars? Not a fan of the old 10-speed wheel and tire look which seems to get more ridiculous all the time.
All great cars. I like the styling of the Predator the best but an awful choice of colors in my opinion. Red with white interior or dark highland green with tan interior...anything but green on green.
All the metal work on these vehicles and too many couldn't figure out how to route the air filter so it didin't look like an afterthought. 🙄 The Chrysler and Caddy were the worst.
Within minutes of arriving at the show I ran into Dave Kindig. He was a total douchebag. So I bummed to learn that he won the Riddler. Was hoping the Chrysler 300 would win it. The fastback Cougar was really nice, as was the Eldo, but the Eldo builder mailed it in by just putting crate engine under the hood w/o doing anything to integrate it with the mods made to the car.
Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of Dave Kindig’s work (usually), but this red thing whatever it is, looks like a clown car to me. Sorry Dave. It looks like something. Batman might drive on his day off I don’t know.
Only like the chysler but I would put chrome back where it belongs the corvette fastback is ok but most of the cars are over done to modern standards not my cup of tea, just my own opinion which at the end of the day don't mean shit lmao
lmao I hear ya I actually like the chrystler. I did my 65 chevy impala similiar, similiar color, color matched the bumpers, got rid of the chrome and shaved everything I like it but not everyone's the same
Henry J interior is very dated..Corvair concept, is nice, shame it won't stop.. Chrome rotors..Mmm ok. I like the Chrysler 300. Tough looking car. And has decent sidewall.. not those dumbass low profile tires.
Must have been a shortage of contenders. The El Dorado should have been in the basement, the 56 Chevy looked like a nice car but certainly not up to this class, the proportions on the Henry J were kinda weird, the Cougar is confused, is it a race car with that engine, is it a foreign car with the offset stripes, the grill bars look very heavy, the 63 Impala was a strange shade of blue and the grille was really ugly, the once elegant Chrysler was a big blob of nothing and should have a big white star on the door! The Kindig car was in another league altogether, what a masterpiece! Sorry just my opinion
I am the only one that thinks big shiny wheels are a bit ‘old fashion’ and ‘off the shelf’. Can’t builder’s and designers put in a bit more effort to show of the wheels with some colour..?..
i agree a little on that one, i like some of the car setups with a dark gray paint with wheels accented with the same color or black. I built a 65 chevy impala and painted it a dark metalic gray and threw on some black wheel looks way better than me going with chrome wheels i think. im not s fan of wheels with reds or blues though

Every year I think surly it can’t get any better…. Then I saw the kindig corvette and it blew my mind… absolutely beautiful… my winner 😎🤙
Amazing builds!
Really like the 300, the 53 and the Cougar/Pred....... in that order but simply tough to see the tricks and details without being there in person.
Thanks for the coverage!
Glad you enjoyed it. I agree the amount of detail/customization on some of these cars are insane
Outstanding video, always nice to see what the cutting edge trends are in the custom car world, and the Detroit Great 8 always delivers.
Thankyou and yea the show was a blast lots of cool designs and builds
TY for the Show video(s). Really enjoyed it
Your welcome!
The Eldorado is my favorite of these. All of them are beautiful.
53 CORVETTE for the WIN! Fantastic Design.
I love the roof line. So cool. The rest of it looks a lot like the ones he builds from scratch
Paint job on the Impala is spectacular 👌🏾
oh yea I loved it
Thank you for the Video, good work.
Glad you enjoyed t! Was a good show!
The TewlveAir Corvette knocked me out. Kindig did a stunning job.Thank you for bringing this to us. It was a real treat.
I agree 👍 and I'm glad u enjoyed it!
I was there all day, I talked to Dave Kindig and others.
Was a good show!
The Predator and the V12 vette, outstanding!!
Kindig is in a different league... and what a beautiful video well done
Yea he is a level above the competition but the others are still nice to look at! glad you enjoyed the video! if you want to see more I've got another video of a walk through of the entire show you should check it out th-cam.com/video/qFeYL0EQvEo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D664clhzRq6L69OD
kindigit design has done it again absolutely phenomenal build
yea that design and build doesn't disappoint that's for sure!
Good Lord are these just beautiful machines. Of course can dig it knocked it out of the park not a big fan of those Wheels but a big fan of what he does and also for some strange reason I love that Chrysler😊
I'm a fan of the 300 to and the impala
My favorite was the Chrysler and the 59 Vette Kindigit designed concept Corvair was nice also !!!
A mercury fastback cougar and a rear wheel drive Cadillac Eldorado...its about time, long overdue...great work by the builders.
i agree
Outstanding builds all of them , but that corvette concept by Dave kindig’s shop was for me breathtakingly beautiful.
There have been some absolutely gorgeous cars that come out of that shop.
Absolutely beautiful 👍👍
I agree!
Beautiful cars..... Awesome Craftsmanship!
For sure!
The Cougar and Kendig vette is my favorite
Enjoyed!!!! 🤜🤛
Good to hear thanks for the comment!
7 of the top 8 thought they had a good chance until the v12 corvette fastback rolled in
🤣
I see that V8 and raise you 4 cylinders kind sir!
@@powertothesheeple5422 lol

The car didn't even start right away 😅
De toute beauté wow !
A Shelby GT 500 with a Mercury front clip, cool.
I immediately thought "Nice roof swap on that restomod Cougar" when I saw it. Beautiful work but not over the top enough for a Great 8 IMO.
Yes, that was nice!
Its a 67 Cougar with aftermarket Fastback from AMD
I’m glad someone finally built a fastback cougar. I’ve had pics of one for 10 years but never got a chance. Keith Kaucher drew it up or photochopped it. No one had a chance against the Kindig Vette tho.

Totally agree
Where can I get more info. on the Cougar ?
Maybe a quick Google search 🤔

It’s amazing what money, imagination and talent can do.
yes of course they are all fantastic but Dave is in a special place with Chip ...I'm a new subscriber Chuck, and you have some serious skills too
thankyou sir!
Personally, I think he has left Foose in the dust.

COUGAR Predator is my choice!

Henry J very very nice 3rd choice of 8.
Enjoyed ❤
love that Cougar
JF Kustoms a previous winner..
@@carlosoruna7174 yes I know, finished 3 the first time, love his work
Yes !!!! Jean-François Launier...from Québec !!!!
The '56 Chevy is gorgeous, but what is up with the goofy looking tail lights? Hard to believe someone thought that looks good.
We all know what they say about opinions. I love them !
really good
Which one is my favourite?
, Cannot decide
Dave have a 1 of 1 eye for design, his cars are just just immaculate and deserves to win but God it was some tough competition. The Chrysler will be my winner if Dave didn't present the Corvair
yea some nice builds
It looks like old cars all have either huge, gigantic wheels, or else little bitty wheels, that dance up and down.
yea two different styles/car cultures
Mirror reflections and sports car for the win. 😁
Rolling art
that '59 Chrysler
53 all the way!
My choice is the 59 Corvette.
That Chrysler 😮 Holy shit that's a badass car.
oh yea looked mean!
How if they do drive them, especially the corvettes?
highly doubt it
Why dont you show manufacturer's name cart?
Weird that the 63 Impala would ditch its incredibly beautiful dashboard/instrument cluster.
These builds are beyond amazing but what fun is there in owning a trailer queen? Perhaps I should view this as art creation and not as car building.
It's all about the build at this level what you end up with after it has been judged and shown is almost and after thought? Except for when you are totalling up the receipts one night and realize how much money and time has just been invested! 😊

yea I know what you mean the more custom they are the more radical the look some I like some just to much
I liked the red 1959 Corvette the best car is beautiful. Green mercury is nice but I would not have painted it fluorescent green.
yea I agree that green was a little different didn't fit the car imo
Good Vibrations '63 Impala SS 🥶🥶
Vanilla Gorilla '67 Eldorado🤍🤍
1959 Chrysler 300E 🔥🔥
'51 Kaiser Henry J should have won.
Definately a nice build!
Feel sad about that Chrysler 😢
It was such a great car when it was original
i love the look 🤣
Unusual to see all late model cars??
Did Henry J make a PU?
blue n black impala was Tight
I agree one of my favorites that and the 300
All great cars. I like the styling of the Predator the best but an awful choice of colors in my opinion. Red with white interior or dark highland green with tan interior...anything but green on green.
the chrysler 300 for the win

"The Chrysler and Caddy were the worst.".............the worst of the best is still a good place to be

What happened to Riddler ? I wouldn't vote for any one of those
aww cmon some good builds here
This cougar is just one of those cars that don’t get the cred.
It's become a competition of who can throw the most money at the dumbest car...😢
it is alot of money in these cars and they don't even drive them

enjoy the show?

Yvette will win, stunning to view from the rear
@@chrisminchopoulos2811I agree
I AGREE Mr Hanger. Them tail lights are hideous and they should of left the dashboard alone. Beautiful car other than them 2 problems.
The handles and mirrors on the impala are a big no
for sure the mirrors should of just shaved it

Helloo
300 m
that thing was mean looking!
Large diameter rims on older cars always look horrid. The proportions are thrown off. Breaks the look of the car for the worse.
Kindig Vette

The white 1956 Chevy tail lights were terrible looking.
yea I agree wasn't a fan
For such a traditionally black city, I’m having trouble even seeing one black man at this whole convention. Maybe they’re not into cars?
maybe the craftmenship is top, but the styling and taste is not there..
Beautiful job with photography. Just wish you did a commentary about the builder and specifications 🫶✌️🤔
