Wow this honestly looks really cool. I love the motivation they give you with points. It seems like they aren't *really* meant to be turned in or at least valuable, but just to get you brushing. But hey, if it works, it doesn't matter what they're worth.

I upgraded and got the solid black Quip smart tooth brush for $60 at Bed Bath Beyond. I originally had the plastic Quip toothbrush I bought at Walmart for $25. Instead of throw it away when I got the new one I gave it to my fiancé since he didn’t care about not having the smart features of the toothbrush he just wanted a Quip toothbrush. I do have bad habits of not brushing my teeth long enough or sometimes I don’t brush my teeth twice a day. So with the smart feature I think it will be more motivating for me to have that for better oral hygiene.

Besides the screen size being weird, your phone isn't the issue. I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max and unfortunately nothing has been able to work with this brush besides connecting it (which took about 5 attempts). I'm sure it will be a great product eventually, but they released an unfinished product. Great review! 👍

That being said, yes, iPhone 7 is *that* old lol; think of phone lives like dog-years.
At least yours connects on Android it wants ur location and like one other permission but still won't connect to anything wish it would my kids were bummed out badly.

Is there a feature where you can set a time and If you forget to brush the app notify you via your phone to tell you to brush your teeth if you’re within 10 feet?
I got a Quip tooth brush three weeks ago and I'm in love with it. I had a Soniccare tooth brush but I hated it. I have autism and it's so loud I used it for a few weeks and since it's been collecting dust in my drawer. It makes me feel like my brain is shaking and it causes me so much anxiety I stopped brushing my teeth. But the Quip is much quieter and I've been using it twice daily and my teeth, even without whitening tooth paste, look so much whiter. And my gums feel so much better.

Which one do you think is better overall, Quip or Hum? I just ordered the Quip, but I kind of like the Hum's brushing coach better, so I'm struggling. I like that Quip will ship brush head, battery, floss AND toothpaste every 3 months, so it's less to have to think about. But since you've tried both, which do you think was a better overall experience? Thanks!
Personally I think both are good options, but I slightly prefer Hum because it has 2 settings, the app is sleeker and is easier to set up (also is available on Android).The things I like better about Quip is that it's thinner/smaller, has everything included in the subscription, and the rewards system is a bit better. I think the overall "Smart" experience is better with Hum, so If I had to choose I would probably go with that :)
I got the plastic green one for $25 at Walmart. My other tooth brush the bristles kept getting stuck in between my teeth on the bottom and it hurt to brush my teeth. I am having issues getting the tooth brush to pair with the app.

It will only connect to your phone if you have the smart motor which you have to get from Quip. Walmart does not sell the smart motor.

@@TheNickiOfDoom yeah they do but only for adults at Walmart with the smart brush ...best buy and target do too they have the kids brushes...the brushes do have firmware that might be outdated dont know why you would sell out dated firmware off with ur current products bad pr department i guess but it made no difference in pairing the brush for us tonight
i just got a quip toothbrush and i am trying to connect it to the app, but it isn’t working. i turn it on and off as it says but it just says it can’t find a device. i have a metal one

Lots of people had questions about the toothbrush on the Quip Instagram. They were also saying that customer support had been no help at all. So you know what I did? I responded to the comments and the questions about how to work the toothbrush. They all said I was a great help. BUT THEEEN. QUIP BLOCKED ME ON INSTAGRAM

Quip. Hum isn't built very well and the batteries oftentimes"crap out"
Are you using a normal sized brush Head on a "kids" handle, with the smart motor?
Nope I’m just using the regular brush head and handle 😊

Does this work on all quip toothbrushes. I just bought mine this year and can't seem to get it to work

I dont understand why your experience with quip is so totally different from mine . Quip has a horrible Better Business Bureau rating and their customer service has been woefully nonexistent. The brush heads wont stay on when it starts vibrating and it breaks in half. It totally useless.

an iphone 7 is 5 years old it’s pretty old lol
I believe I got it about 3 years ago, so the actual device isn’t super old. It’s not the latest device but it’s still pretty common and should still be supported by quip in my opinion.
