UPDATE!! Atturo liked the video and partnered up with the Channel to offer you guys a special rebate! Hopefully this helps some of you out! :) atturo.com/page/jeep-gear-gadgets/24
you should bolt a tag/bridge,top /bottom of spring,so your not relying on the shock to hold the diff weight. shocks get ripped out because of it..did you measure the height before you fitted tires,to garage door, ive raised my outside mobile garage, 3 times..
I have a 93 YJ with a 6” lift and 35’s.....running a SBC 350 and TH350 auto.....front and rear lockers.....Detroit lockers. Love the vids you guys do...! My 9yo niece wants to work on Jeep’s like you Cassie 🙂
Love those guys at La Hormiga. I got a flat in my patrol unit maybe 200 yards west of that place. I walked over and they gave me a ride and hooked me up with a mobile repair free of charge. Tipped them of course for being awesome. Def my go-to’s in that neck of the woods
You're going to love y he tires.. I run the Atturo Trail Boss blades on both my jkus for about a year now.. they don't make noise and they are sticky on all terrains.
I know everyone wants 40s, and 37‘s are a weird in between size - too big for 44s and two small for 60s, that’s what I hear all the time - but to me 37‘s look perfect on an LJ - perfect size tire for that wheelbase.
Good tire, I ran it on my LJR for a while. Great road life, road noise is not bad at all, and they balanced great. In fact, with Black Rhino Crawler beadlocks I didn't balance them at all and they still rode very smooth at 70mph. No problems at all in the mud, but I did have some slippage in rocky hill climbs that I felt it shouldn't have had. That was really before I had them broken in good though, so might have been part of the problem there. They have a VERY stiff sidewall and I ran them at pretty low psi with the beadlocks (the sidewalls made install a bit of a pain!). Overall though I think they are a good tire and something I'm considering as I work up to 40's. Currently running 37" Yoko X-MT's, in part because of your JKU. :)
I really enjoy your and Ben's videos . Your LJ looks really good with the 37's . I am currently running a 3.5 '' Rubicon Express lift with fox shocks and a 1'' body lift on my TJ . I will be changing out my springs next year for Rock Krawler springs though for a better ride. Take care and be safe .
Looks great good job. If you get a second measure the tire height unmounted and mounted, I’m torn between 35 or 37 on a gladiator rubicon, I still want to use my garage... thanks
Watch those transmission temps im running 37s on my TJ with 4.88s and its still sometimes hits upper 220s on trails. The 42rle hates being worked hard on big tires
I'm running 36" TSL tires, same actual height as a standard 37" radial tire, with 4.88 and a 5 speed and it isn't enough gear. It definitely needs more rear gearing. I couldn't imagine how shit the auto is with 4.88s and 37s, especially considering my wheel tire combo is lighter then normal 17" wheels and 37" radials.
@@merczeph79 I'm running 5.13s and 37 nittos and I sometimes wish I went 5.38s and i swapped to a ax15 after grenading my 42rle. the auto needed the deepest gears you could find for OD.
@@deadbolt9019 I'm in the process of swapping to a G2 core 44 front axle so I can run 5.38s front and rear. Should be perfect with the 36-37" tire size.
Just wait til you get that V-8 in there it's gonna make those 37's happy....on another note it might be a good idea to wait on the springs up front til after the V-8 with all the added weight of the engine, bigger radiator, etc..... either way super looking forward to all of the upcoming videos.
Very cool, I appreciate you not going with Pats while sticking with a budget tire! I also went off the beaten path with the 37x12.50r17 Firestone M/T2 which has not had any reviews that I found so I am trying to do that on my channel!
You guys are awesome. My wife and I are both TJ owners and enjoy your videos. Waiting on you to come up to Oklahoma to go wheeling and see how Mike J did on his CJ.
So I juuuust picked up an LJ last week. I've had 2 JKs and 4 TJs so I'm excited to start modding a "new" jeep lol. A couple questions....I seen the rock guards were PS but which rear/corner body armour is that? Are you running 20 inch rims with the 35s/37s? Do you like the set up or would you rather 17s? I want to build this one to be a interstate worthy/buggy/crawler type platform. Oh and how much wider were those axles than the stock? Thank ya!
Like what you have done. I have a 2009 rubicon with 35s and actually thinking of downsizing to 33s. I have the stock Jeep engine and gearing. Its a pain going up mountains. I live in Northern Ca about 90 min from Tahoe. would like a recommendation or comment of down sizing tires and to ATs vs Mud or to spend the cash to change the gear ratio...and what ratio should I be doing. I really feel like my rig struggles going uphill with the stock engine and 35 in mid tires. Love your channel and the changes you are making on your rig.
Gears!! It makes the world of a difference. Keep the 35s.. 5.13s if you have the 3.8 with auto 4.88 if you have the 3.8 and manual. Or 4.88/auto and 4.56/manual if you do a ton of highway driving (70mph+ every day).
off subject of this video, if you ever decide to run your rollbar without padding please do a video, i have an 05 tj and really want to ditch the padding but dont want to commit til i see one to see how much wiring or what not is under them and what it looks like. keep up the good work with these videos.
Refreshing to see a young lady working on her Jeep. Looks good. Have you ever heard of someone installing a lift in their garage and not being able to clear the door? 😎
Looks excellent! Great stance for sure! These little tire shops are very interesting for sure around here and way cheaper but they will work hard to put those tires on for you.
I'm glad to see yall went with REAL mud tires, and not those stupid Milestar Patagonia tires. 👍🏻 The Kumho Road Venture KL71 and MT71 tires as well as the Yoko Geolander G003 are badass tires, as well, but they often get overlooked for other brands.
The LJ looks great with the 37s! I would change the front springs to the Clayton ones just because they are better, plus they would match. Great video!!
I can't believe that the jeep still goes inside the garage with those big tires!. Great info video.... You have to swap the gladiators engine to a Hemi 6.4 at least,
Hey, might be cool to see the work arounds for someone who can't or doesn't have another person with them. As in if my wife wanted to replace some coils but cant compress them enough on her own. ( ratcheting method ) Might be cool to see
I’m running a 3.5 inch Teraflex lift with Falcon 3.1 shocks. I also have 35 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers. Quick question, do you know of any good trails in the Ohio, Cincinnati area or Pennsylvania that you would recommend? Thanks for the videos!
I have a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon... 2.5" Skyjacker spacer lift for now (until I can get time to install my Evo Enforcer 2.5" Stage II Plus lift). 37s look awesome Cass. Do you need some fender flares for the rear I have brand new set - the hardware for a jeep cj XRC Smittybuilt rear tube steel flares textured black. That could be easily modified to fit your lj rear fender area. And what you going to do with the 35s you took off?
Hey guys, quick question off topic. How or what are you using to mount the traction boards to rear roll bar of the Jeep? Great vids by the way!! Thanks!
Which wheel do you have on the LJ? I have been looking for wheels that you don't see on everyone's JK. I purchase 35" Milestar MT and decided on new wheels instead of using spacers. The new tires & springs look good on your LJ.
I currently have 33s on my JKU, I can't decide if I want to go up to 35s or stay with 33s. Atturo doesn't have 35x12.5 R17, I will have to stay with the Patagonias.
So I have a 96 chevy blazer 2wd in 321150 falkens if I replace my coil springs I can get little bigger tires. I'm wanting to go 33s so I wouldn't need a lift primer say
