My hometown ❤️ Great vlog! I like that you share your thoughts throughout your journey. It’s interesting to see the different perspectives other people have on certain topics. Traveling is one of the best, if not the best, way how to learn about the world and your place in it.

Visited Riga last year as my final destination. Flying in back to Los Angeles I felt a sensation of home that I didn't have so much before the trip. Riga was great and not to say Los Angeles I'd better, but just that the sense of belonging was more apparent.
This year, I'm in the position to take a few weeks abroad and am struggling to consider a destination as I don't have the same sense of needing to escape or explore. Maybe just uninspired this year.
Good vlog. The library in Riga has a particular exceptional view at the top. I'd imagine they'd have interesting events with the piano.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I think I know what you mean -- The culture in Riga is so different from what we experience in the US, and I tend to think (from my personal experience) that the locals there lean more introverted relative to the west coast.
Choosing where to travel is certainly not easy. I can definitely relate with the difficulty I've experienced in choosing where to visit in my current travels, especially given that I'm not used to traveling solo.
At a certain point, I think it's certainly valuable to weigh the pros/cons of different options as aligned to our trip intentions, but beyond that-- simply let go to make the most of whatever experience we have, knowing that every experience can be unique and teach us something new. Definitely easier said than done lol.

8 weeks isn't extended travel in my opinion. That's the point you just start to get to know yourself a bit better.
