I remember my anticipation at age 17 for Superman the movie my most anticipated film of my entire life. This is up there.
I remember that too. I was 16. That was a year after Star Wars expanded my world view. I remember sitting in the theatre praying for it to be good, then when the red and gold S burned into the screen I felt relief and certainty that it would not let me down. It did not.

I agree, but I don't blame Henry. He is just an actor playing a role. Christopher Nolan and David Goyer's Man Of Steel screenplay showed a deep misunderstanding of what Superman is all about. They painted his movie dark and gritty, because that worked for their Dark Knight trilogy. But it worked, because that's what Batman is. Director Zack Snyder finished the dehumanizing process with his video game like violence, and a Man Of Steel who didn't mind his surroundings or cared about the innocent bystanders around him. I should make a video about this. Thanks for writing.
