That combo is kinda character-specific finicky. If you get a small character, chances are you need to do airdash jLS (at where he dropped it), which I guess isn't hard if you plink jL from M+H dash, but with all the Vergils and Dooms out there, you can usually just not do the airdash and still get the combo. That said, it looks like he could've linked a plain old jL, but maybe he had second thoughts.
